i worked for a roofing company on and off for about 6 years..lapp roofing. they prided themselves on taking high risk or problematic jobs nobody else wanted....the company was dangerous, stupid, and got a lot of people maimed and killed (5 died in just my short time there) but not once but twice i was on job sites were we layed are crane over just like that. one job i was on in downtown dayton we were craning are materials onto the site when the pin in the boom came lose (operator error) and dropped 1700 pds of materials and the boom 5 stories down onto a city sidewalk. luckily no one was hurt, but i stood there in horrer watching this fall knowing we probably just killed someone.

it makes me squeamish watching it too......
