I've already finished it lol. Unfortunately because of my busy school schedule, if i'm going to get a project finished i have to really focus on it. Also i'm a hardcore procrastinator so if i don't go 100% on something, it aint ever getting done lol.

This is actually briar so no inlay is necessary. I took those pictures before I waxed it so it's a bit darker now (more contrast). I don't think I'll stain it because the stem is fairly light as well and they look nice together. I put a brushed aluminum ring around the tenon so it looks good now. When it's light tomorrow I'll take some pics!

Today's progress... (5 hours of solid work) TODO: -Continue polishing -Redo the stem because I broke it while mounting the tenon

I bought a 3/4 drill bit on the way home today for the bowl. I'm going to drill the tannon out, then slowly drill the bowl down till it's just flush with the opening at the bottom. (using a drill press) The rest I'm going to freehand "carve" with a dremel I forgot to pickup a some delrin tubing to connect the stem to the stubble though... Gonna see what I can find lying around. UPDATE: Just took the stem out of the mold! It's held it's shape to about 90%

This reminds me of the lion fish in the atlantic... What is it with fish these days? Im sure these kinds of changes have been happenning for thousands of years, long before we started observing them and started trying to control the eco system.
