  9. Hi All I've been asked to re-introduce myself, probably didn't give you enough info last time, so here goes. Bloodrunner real name Steve Been playing on the XI servers a bit now, previously under the name of Smudger, so you'll all probably have killed me....several times or more. I'm not that great, pretty poor at gaming too but I get by and I enjoy it. Live just outside London UK I'm still working and also volunteer for a BloodBike Group that delivers emergency blood to hospitals, hence why I have to quit a game suddenly, no no it's not a rage quit, honest! When I saw my sons playing COD I was fascinated by the fact that you could interact with people halfway round the world so I bought a copy and here I am. I've been in a couple of Clans, [DaD] that was UK based but went under then [MSOB] which was crouch only, probably the reason why I can't handle the bunnyhoppers out there, you know who you are! It's while playing on their servers that I saw some XI players and stalked them to their servers and started joining in on the XI servers. I got booted off the [MSOB] clan through lack of activity, spending too much time away working, so started stalking the XI again. As I was useless on the freezetag ones I played on the deathmatch servers as it was only me I could let down, anyways I improved a bit and started getting onto the freezetags. I was still useless but liked the members and the banter, not too many keyboard warriors or seriousness, that kind of suits me. Oh! and of all my marked favourite servers yours is the only one with any activity I am a casual player but lately have become a bit obsessed in trying to get my stats up and yours down, one can only try!
  10. happy Birthday
  11. Thats what I did eventually but the full profile didn't want to come.
  12. Ok Thanks for your replies. I have done it now by copying all COD files from my original hard drive, I thought I'd done that. Didn't get my settings or rankings but hey....... at least I got the servers.
  13. Ok, I have a new pc and loaded the cod4 disc, before I did this, a couple of weeks ago, I found a thread with instructions to copy my profile etc so i didnt have to drag through games etc and catch up. I copied my user profile , pb mods and maps but can't work out how to load them, I can't find the thread either. to find my cod4 profile on the old pc I had to go into users and find it there. As said ive loaded the disc but on the online servers there are only about 20 and none of them are xi or others i had as faves Also copied the freeze ip into faves and it doesn't show up Any ideas? TIA
  14. This is my weekend extravagance, sorry I know it's a Triumph but someone's got to show a bit of class here

  16. Hi Me again I have recently replaced my GPU, as if you didn't know! Since doing it my ping has increased from av 85-90 to av 95-105, I heard some other UK member stating that they had had an increase, has there been a server change or could my GPU be doing this? Ta
  17. Once again thanks for your advice. An update, I found an old GPU HD9790, which is a bit of an upgrade to my other one I think, anyway, when trying to plug the DVI in to my monitor I cracked the screen so now on an old 12" by 12" screen until another arrives. I think someone is trying to tell me not to bother!! I went for an old gpu as I'm still considering upgrading my system to one that doesn't run on steam.
  18. Love these member spotlights, makes you all seem human.......sometimes!
  19. Hey Icequeen Having had 2 parents suffer from dementia and Alzheimer's I know that those that care for them are totally under valued. I can't thank you enough for the service you offered to keep these poor souls happy and comfortable in their time of need. Good luck in your new career
  20. Well. sadly. tonight my old radeon 7850 gave up the ghost, it has served me well, may it rest in peace. Unfortunately I'm just about to go away on business and with the May bank holiday I won't be able to sort it until I come back. Thanks for your help and suggestions, I might look at a whole new set up when I come back.
  21. I fish for compliments, haven't found the right bait yet!
  22. I have a feeling its a pci-e 4 card thats backward compatible to a pci-e 3. As said I'm a real numpty when it comes to this sort of thing but hey! its an excuse to buy another pc
  23. There you go, thanks, I thought this might have been the problem but I was told they were pci-e ver 3. Maybe I'll just have to pay out for a new mb and cpu
  24. Yup, the Nvidea download tool does a system sweep then tells me i have no Nvidea card installed so won't download the drivers. I think I'll just have to resign myself to the fact that my system comes up as 'woeful' for gaming and unless I find a better GPU for my system will have to wait until I have the funds for new components
  25. thanks for the reply yes connection is the same and I uninstalled the amd drivers but then....did I install the nvidea ones, I think I had a problem there, I couldn't pre install them because it didn't detect the relevant GPU and obviously when I had the GPU installed I only had a blank screen
