  1. Same. Im moving on to other games now. Without new map packs say every other month, its getting old. The server has been at its highest population ever though. Yet in the top 100 there are only 3 XI members, so its a bit stale in the clan in regards to US BF4 right now. And lets be honest. There hasn't been a patch to fix all the fall patch issues yet. What, 2-3-4 months? The patch release is pathetically slow. At 1000 hours, BF4 is finally starting to get old to me. Which sucks, cause FPS games are nearly the only ones that can really get my adrenaline going.
  2. Don't lie to me Mouse. I know you were up playing Arma3 until 3-4am building a slide. If you can't make something please let me know, Im fine with that. I will find a replacement, but just not showing up was kinda shitty. People were disappointed. JAH, Thanks for your input. I appreciated you being there to help support this on Sunday, even though we canceled it. Right now I'm leaning on the side of canceling it all together. I can save some money on the hosting and domain. To be completely blunt; the support from XI clan as a whole is fucking pisspoor and pathetic. Really thought it would be something the clan would get into and support. But obviously there is no interest. As I was told by a long time member on Sunday "XI is probably not the place you will find people to support something like this. People have tried in the past and failed. It is just something XI members are not in to. They just want to pick up a gun and go." There were 35+ BF4 members on TS on Sunday, and only 8-9 were interested in playing. Everyone gets behind a clan knife tournament (which lets be honest is ridiculous and just stupid to do with BF4's broken knifing system) but no one gets behind something unique, where everyone who has played has said is fucking awesome. I'll be hard pressed to be convinced to put anymore of my time, effort or care into something that our own clan family has no interest in. Perhaps you are right and should start looking elsewhere, outside the clan to get the support we need.
  3. You can easily score as many pts in OB and CTF as CQL. Just need to ALWAYS be near the flag or bomb. Considering you get ~ 250-300 pts for killing the bomb carrier, and ~100-200 pts for just touching the bomb, pts rack up quickly. Lets not even get into what happens when you launch a UCAV at a group of 6-8 guys trying to get the bomb. Thats a good 1500 pts alone.
  4. Probably would have gone forward if Mouse showed up. Need two admins to run it.
  5. There are currently 31 CQL maps, 3 OB, 4 CTF and 3 DOM maps in rotation. If CTF and OB are being played, its because that is what the people are voting for. We get lots of praise and thanks for our Mixed Mode server. I agree, I like CQL best. So here is what I'll do. I changed Votemap, so that it will allow for older maps/modes that have not been played for a while. This will push more CQL to the top. I re-added Flood Zone CQ, Golmund Railway CQ so now there are 33 CQL maps in rotation vs. the other 3 or 4. Just remember, any player with [XI] tags has a value of 3 per vote. So if you want to play a certain map, vote. It will outweigh 3 non XI members votes.
  6. Its probably important to note exactly what this is doing. Since going and editing your registry isnt generally the smartest thing to do. The reg key is ONLY for Windows 7. It disables Windows 7 core parking (a feature that was designed to save power). Windows 8 disables core parking automagically.
  7. GC was the best time I ever had playing in BF. I wanted to bring that feeling to XI. When I played BF3/GC there were like 150 people. We cant even get 15. Maybe more members will care enough to participate at some point. I took what they had and just made it better by adding dynamic troop counts, and wrote a script to allow for indifferent ticket counts. If only another 10-15 members would attempt to play, we could become better.
  8. World BATL Round 4 will take place on January 4th, 11am-3pm CST. I hope to see more people than ever. SIGNUP HERE!
  9. Ya, honestly, people dont need to know the rules. The rules right now are lax due to us trying to get it going and more so just having fun with it. Anyone can play, all they need to do is show up. It was fun to have you! Ill be announcing the next one today probably. How is everyone's 3rd or 4th of Jan looking?
  10. yes quite different. I use finger tip grip. I think if i used palm I would probably slow it down. Seems most that use finger tip grip like faster movement and those with palm like slower.
  11. Did you ever think your accuracy went up because you are playing the same class, same types of gun, on the same map almost 90% of the time? Ive seen that video and that guy has some idea what he is talking about, but not completely. He understands the movement vs. dpi. vs. resolution. What he doesnt understand is the extrapolation/interpolation works between dpi vs. sensitivity. As he even states "3000 DPI is sufficient for a 1600 resolution" Most people play 1900 (or higher). Lets also not forget that much of what you posted is based off of CS players on 1024x768. As the links even state themself: "So unless your playing with an extremely high resolution (eg:1920x1080) and a high sensitivity, 1000 dpi should satisfy even high sens gamers." EXTREMELY high resolution? What year is this? Point 2 from the CS link (which btw was originally written in 1999 I believe, this is just a slightly modified copy from it. I played CS on a national competitive level for 10 years.) just makes the guy sound like a complete idiot. As he states: it was claimed that windows pointer speed should be kept at 6/11 and mouse DPI at maximum and only change your sensitivity in game. This is not entirely true. In fact, there is actually hardly any difference that you probably wont notice it if you use 1800 dpi with 3/11 (0.25) windows pointer speed and 450 dpi with 6/11 pointer speed. IDIOT, does this guy have any idea how extrapolation/interpolation works? This above statement can be easily disregarded with a simple program called MSPAINT. Look at all the extrapolation there! Sensitivity in game does the same thing. Where DPI will not interpolate or extrapolate. Changing sensitivity does. So all someone is doing by changing their sensitivity or their windows mouse settings it removing or adding data points, instead of a 1:1 ratio. Don't listen to "Pro" gamers. They are good because all the do is play, but I assure you most of them have zero idea how technology actually works. But ultimately, as you said "choose what is best for you" Everyone is different and likely someone that plays with 100 dpi at 70% sens, will get just as used to it as someone that plays with 7000 dpi and 1% sens. All Im trying to explain is that these PRO/Youtubers who think they know all this shit about how data point work, dont know a damn thing. They are good because they play alot. Simple as that. BTW, I would put myself up against any pro/youtuber any day of the week. I've played against them and watched them, they are nothing special. They usually just play carefully, and act for themselves and not the team. I used to be like that.
  12. I have played this game where our competitor that its modeled against had 200 people playing. Almost 4 servers full. With 64 on 64 it was absolutely the best time I have ever had playing BF. Im getting really sick of the static same thing over and over that BF has. They need to expand in to something dynamic. Hope to see you there. Ill be announcing the next round probably today or tomorrow.
  13. whhhyyy? Stop dropping your dpi! Drop your sensitivity!! Dropping dpi just causes the mouse to interpolate between pts aka accelerate. If you can get high DPI and low sens, you can avoid interpolating of points, while getting the exact same feel/speed. 6400 DPI 400 DPI Notice the movement distance is the exact same? The top just has higher dpi, with low sensitivity, allowing the mouse to use ALL points. The bottom is ~ 400 DPI, with high sensitivity. As you can see it removes thousands of data points, and just interpolates itself. This means your mouse is essentially skipping over points where it tracks.
  14. Phoenix, it seems to me you are the only one here that thinks this is an argument or conflict of some type where its tied to a personal judgement of you. It is not. We are not arguing over West Coast vs. East Coast. We are not arguing over EU times vs. PST times. There will never ever be a time it works for everyone. Instead there will always be a time that people can make it work for them. They just decide not to. P.S. 11am CST is 9am PST, if someone can't get up to play a video game at 9am, well so be it. The reason for the post is quite simple and noted by 4 other people, people that have played and that really like it. It has nothing to do with arguing what time is right or wrong. If people want to play they will, they will make time. Just as mouse and I make time to run the game. If they want to go out and get wasted and not play, they can do that too. If they want to watch football, they can do that, or not do that. If they want to say, fuck it, Im going to masturbate all Saturday morning, well thats fine as well. The point is, that its very pathetic that 15-20 other clan members, admins included, won't show any support by playing with us, even as we ask for their support and help. That they will instead sit and play BF4 the standard normal way they always want to. That is what we are trying to get across. If you aren't on, you aren't on, thats fine. It's those that play BF for 5-6 hours in a morning, but won't even come join us, that is where it becomes upsetting to us. Lack of brotherhood, lack of care, lack of effort and lack of overall support from our clan members, our family. Its not an argument, its not a conflict, it is just a simple fact; that is, WE WANT TO SEE MORE CLAN INVOLVEMENT.
  15. CQS works wonders, not sure why you think it doesn't. I can't think of a better game mode. Well I can, it would be CQL, but we need more people!!! Any other game mode is too static, too conforming, and too parallel. CQ gives the best option of dynamic, evolving, ever changing map. And mouse hits it on the head. With 10 people, a team might get stacked. With 64 people it wouldnt, which is part of the reason of this rant. Even so, teams have not been stacked. T2 destroyed first round, T1 dominated 2nd round, T1 and T2 evened out this last round. The thing is, it doesnt matter the caliber of the player. This isnt regular BF. Acucats is good, yes, but the way the game is played is not his play style, nor is it mine, nor anyones. We are used to run and gun. World BATL involves ever changing tactics, even during the round, and ever changing classes and loadouts. If we had even 30 people playing, it would even more so invalidate the idea that teams are stacked. There is nothing in the rules that states teams cant be moved around in between rounds. But neither General feels that they are stacked, so we have had no reason to. I completely agree Sunday would work better, but right now it won't be ran on Sunday because of Football. Football > Video Games. Perhaps as the season is coming to an end, we will move it to Sunday (which I would prefer anyway). The next one I setup, I will try setting it for 3pm CST. The idea of setting it at 11am or 12 was that the EU guys would be available. But considering most of them dont care about this, that point is probably irrelevant now. Each squad should be communicating within itself. It makes complete sense. What wouldnt make sense would be 15-20 people trying to talk over each other. That makes no sense. What makes sense is that each squad is assigned a captain that receives orders from their General, and give them to their squad. Exactly how all military's work. We are not "giving up". I do not ever give up, on anything. We are simply stating the simple fact, that we think its pure and utter bullshit that 25-30 clan members will sit and play on a regular BF4 server (as they do every other day), while their clanmates counterparts are attempting to make World Batl a real thing. I am pretty blunt person, and most people dont like that, so I understand any backlash or complaints. All I am doing is calling a spade a spade and simply saying "there is no comradery or support from the clan" on this. There is no denying that. We appreciate the feedback, as things that are molded by the players are always superior to those that are not. But at the same time we just wish that those 20 players that are on every time we play, would come join their brothers at arms. thats all.
  16. Every round is usually planned out weeks in advance, times have been switched to try and accommodate people, there has been 3 rounds, its been almost a year in the making. I completely understand and respect that people have "RL shit"; I do myself. Hence the reason for this thread. If people are not interested, as they initially said they were, or if clan members don't even care about the game, as seen by 15+ members playing BF every round we have played, then it will come to an end. There is no disrespect of peoples "RL shit" they have to do. I just want to get back to my RL shit, if our greater family isn't interested in supporting something a few of us want to see transcend. I can think of many other ways to spend a Saturday morning. Believe me, I didn't take the time to develop or run this game for just me. I think it can all be summed up with a quote from someone we can all relate to. The Hoff has taken over David Hasselhoff. David Hasselhoff really doesn't know who he is anymore. ~David Hasselhoff
  17. The play style that comes from this type of game is so fun. You can get aggravated so easily when the other team is dominating. But whats super fun is changing tactics mid map, to try and recover. Like when we were playing Propaganda. You guys took us down 600 tickets to your 200. Then we made a push for a comeback by taking 450 tickets with our last 50. What a change of battle that was! Have had some serious fun playing this. I can't imagine how much fun it would be with a full server.
