Well just think, the alternative is to go to the hospital for cancer treatment, have Chemo and radiation, possibly have your tounge cut out, maybe even loose all your teeth and gums, perhaps even have holes in your lips and cheeks. By the time you get out you will have been off chew for a month or two, because it is not allowed in the hospital, and the habit may be broken. The alternative is to stop now and not use all of the future hospital stay to break the habit.

Okay, now for some WW I & WW II vintage guns. I have a C&R License and can buy all of these types of guns direct over the internet or gun shows. For a gun to be considered a Curio and Relic I think it needs to be over 50 years old. Full autos are not allowed. Mine all have the Chrysanthinum intact which was the Emperors symbol. Many Arisakas had the symbol ground off on orders from, I think, McArthur. The standard Arisaka. A special Arisaka designed to help shoot down aircraft. Different sights and a bipod: Something for the Brits who can't even have their own gun in their house British Enfield No 4 MK 1: British Enfield Jungle Carbine: Carcano Model 38, type of rifle used to shoot JFK: The Kar 98, German Battl; Rifle: 3 reconditioned American rifles M 1 Garand 1917 Enfield 1903 Springfield Unknow to many the 1917 Enfield saw the most military duty in WW I and WW 2. Many assume it was the 1903 Springfield. These guns were reconditioned by MILTECH so some "collector" type value is lost. http://www.miltecharms.com/rifles.htm And for my own ethinic heritage a Swedish Mauser. Sweden supplied the steel for these Mausers because in their opinion Swedish steel was better than German steel. An opinion with which I agree. And last for now, the Mosin Nagant made famous in Enemy at the Gates. Very Good quality Mosins can still be had for little over $120.00; If any of you are interested in collecting vintage firearms look into obtaining a C&R License. It is not difficult. If at all interested read the below link: http://www.fo.com/firearms/sgn-cr.htm

mikey1799 hagar43 that is some very cool guns there m8 bet ya dont get to use them much, and ya i am damed if i am pissing you off m8 hahahaha, and glad you live far away from me ,eee In a way you are right, I do not get to use them as much as I like, two of those pictured in the first post have never been fired. But I do have the luxury of places to shoot. Near my primary residence I belong to a gun club only minutes from my house. http://www.lprgc.org/ I also have a house in the Pocono Mountains of PA and can virtually shoot out my back door. I limit that to .22's and go deeper into the woods for the bigger guns. Pics from my back porch: Something you may appreciate Mikey because of Zach is that shooting sports are enjoyed by myself and my two sons. It is nice to have a sport where at 66 I can still have a close bond with my "boys". When are you getting Zach a bike????

I have a Colt Gold Cup National Match Series 80 but because of my poor pistol shooting habits it is not one of my favorites. I am what is refered to as a "Limp Wrister" which means I hold the gun to softly. This contributes to jams and in the case of the COlt the shell casing ejecting straight back and hitting me in the forehead. I have had springs and ejector pin worked to no avail....the problem is me. Anyway, my Gold Cup with custome grips: A better .45 for me is the S&W 945, Performance Center; Not sure how to post this link but if you have never seen Jerry Miculek shooting it's worth a look. http://www.break.com/usercontent/2009/1/Jerry-Miculek-Quick-Shooting-655296.html http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uisHfKj2JiI S&W is one of my accounts and I have had the pleasure of meeting this gentleman over a cup of coffee after hours at the S&W range in Springfield, MA.

You are too quick Slow Fry........ most of the Yankees would have been clueless.

Just thought to post a pic one of my unusual items for you to guess. I expect a few of our southern friends might know but not too many of the city slickers.

LOL...I had organized my album and buggered the link...all better now. For those who do not recognize the model it is a 2003 Ultra Classic in the 100th anniversary colors, 1500 CC, tweaked mufflers (for safety ) and a fair amount of added chrome. Sry about the previous picture screw up. Odd thing is that after I altered my Photoshop albums I checked the post and it was okay at that time.

UnChileno SHAMU..YOU PARTY POOPER...THIS IS MY MOMMENT..NOT YOUR BITCH TIME...J/K...THXS FOR YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS... NOW ..WHY DONT YOU SHOW US HOW TO BEHAVE AS A MEMBER..AND PUT ON THE XI TAGS...I WONT KISS YOUR ASS FOR EVER..LOL By looking at your medals and stuff you have more than enough moments for any 20 members. It's time to share your moment with a radical guest who does not mind offering an opinion or two............... and hopefully respectfully. And besides, it is not bitching, it is simply the voice of experience and wisdom pointing out the obvious. Secondly it is keeping your thread active so your post count can go up and the topic does not die and fall to the bottom of the page and into oblivion. As for membership I still say being a respectful guest playing with a well run clan with responsible and respectful members is all I am looking for at the moment. As I have said before, I appreciate the offer but will remain a simple guest.......... providing you do not ban me BTW.... If I were a member then there would have been no competition in your freeze tag tournament which I might have joined, all of you could have just forfited and been done with it.

PrPleKusH hagar...ouldnt having the member medal mean most ? lol >.< j/w Your point certainly has merit, but IMHO I am willing to bet some members with tags cheapen their value to the point where a contributing guest may have more value. Just being a member does not mean that you are active in support or administration of the clan. Some members with tags may be nothing more than a tick on the dog (Host). With tags comes responsibility, just getting tags should not be all there is to it. I personally do not like members who, providing they can afford either time or money, fail to help fund or operate the clan. Just being a member and doing nothing else is just a form of self gratification because you wanted to have tags to wear. I have little respect for that type of member. With as many members as XI has I would suspect some fit that description and IMHO cheapens the value of the tags. IMHO tags have value and are deserving of pride, with that value also comes responsibility, if responsibility is not accepted then the honor of wearing the tags / Medal is compromised. Also understand that I recognize lifes circumstances can prevent some members from contributing time or money. Some are too young yet the young are the life blood of FPS. I like seeing Noobs and young kids in game. It's a good form of entertianment and can actually teach them social skills. There are many reasonable circumstances for members not being able to offer support. But if there is no valid reason not to be a supporting member the medal those members wear is tarnished and of lesser value.

I only have one medal, but it is the only one that really matters.

Last night I got kicked a few times for Missing Heartbeats by PB. Never had happened before. Looking at Google it seems the problem may be related to an AV program or Explorer 8. I turn off my AV (Spyware Doctor) to play but do not know how to turn off Windows Defender which could also be part of the problem if running in background. As for Explorer 8 I do have the latest version installed but rarely use it. Is it funtioning in the background somewhere? Anyone else encountering this issue? Just started last night...............nothing new done to PC. At least not by human control. Do not know about any auto updates.

NanoCreed PEOPLE HERE IS THE SOLUTION. First you highlight what you wanna copy or cut then click in part of this light blue area right below your sentence and you should have it back to normal. its a site problem not a firefox problem...idiots... lmfao Nano......Sorry but it IS a Firefox issue with Firefox even telling you it is their process prohibiting the Paste with directions to follow if you want more information. I will try the Ctrl command....that would be nice. The directions to follow in Firefox are too complicated.
-
I cannot cut or copy and paste into the forums using Firefox. Explorer no problems. I see some diretions for allowing cut and paste but look a bit complex to me. Well, lets just say I do not understand the directions. Any simplified way to allow Firefox to cut and paste?

Congrats Spain.......put a whoopin on those Orange Pumpkins. Sort of tells the Orange they should just stick to speed skating. BTW......1-0 is a blowout in soccer Anyway, while not a fan of the game I did win $80.00 from a pool I was in with our team selected by draw. I had Spain!!!!

Sonovabich No no Hagar you are way off m8, the world cup is the most prestigeous trophy in football, the standard of football in the European championship is usually better then the world cup overaul because there are only 16 teams in the finals and most of them will be the top teams in the world Europe being the powerhouse of world football (except England lol) but the world cup is the trophy they all want to win most, just think of the olympics and the world championships in athletics, probably better standard in the world championship but everybody really wants an olympic gold most. I accept that I am no authority but understand the background for my comment. When at the Budd company I had two former Portugese players working for me, one had played for FC Porto the other for the other for Benifica, they were related to each other. At one time I was invited to one of their houses for a party. At the party was a former player for Barcelona. Naturally conversation turned to soccer as they tried to educate me. Part of the education was the importance of the Europa Cup vs. the World Cup, each clearly preffered to win the Europa Cup. It was a World Cup year. The possibility exists that because they had no chance for the World Cup they did not place fair impotance on it. As for your comparisons to Olympic Gold I would also strongly disagree from an American standpoint. I think most players would prefer to win the Stanley Cup in Hockey, the World Series trophy for baseball or the NBA CHampionship Trophy in Basketball and if American football were played the Super Bowl Trophy would be more highly prized than Olympic Gold. Got to admit the championship rings that come with winning are highly prized besides the trophy. A good guess for the NFL would be around $10,000.00 per ring. In the NFL there is a $5,000.00 league limit but almost all teams owners kick in additional money driving the value to as high as $20,000.00. Most teams do not divulge the final value but dollar wise it beats a Gold Medal to death. If golf gets to the Olympics I also think wining either the British Open, the US Open or the Masters would be preferred over Olympic Gold. I know I would. The PGA trophy is not as highly prized but might also be preffered. BTW...... I should have added that one of the Portugese players working for me had been banned for life for assaulting a referee. If he could get a Porto came on his radio it was an adventure to watch him listening. We were a service group, he would even pay other welders to take his turn on service calls as they came in so he could listen to the game....LOL

X-RayXI By my knowledge is that the dutch never won the WorldCup, but only the Euopean Cup and they are ranked forth of the FIFA list: http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/FIFA-wereldranglijst That being said what many people may not realize is that for many European Countries winning the Europa Cup has greater value than winning the World Cup. Not to disparage the World Cup but if the European teams were given the choice of which would you rather win the European Cup or the World Cup I believe the majority of the teams would choose the European Cup.

Yup, there is background noise..........for you old folk it's like a scratched record. Unfortunately that description might not be understood by todays generation -
Well done Dutchies Makes my choice of Spain for overall winner look a little better with Brazil out of the way. I hope Germany can rally their game and beat those prima donna egomaniacs from Argentina.

Dutch, Holland, Netherlands ............ what the heck????? What is it, multiple choice to figure out who these people are? And how do you play soccer in wooden shoes? Maybe if they played on ice skates with a windmill strapped onto their backs they would have a chance.

NickTheGrip (She is Mexican and almost broke the damn TV when the "goal" was scored - Glad she didnt - that shit's expensive) I had the pleasure of sharing a few beverages of choice with a group of Mexicans while in Toluca when their team was playing for the league championship against the team from Mexico City. Toluca had won their home game and only needed a tie in Mexico City to win the championship and tie they did. I have NEVER in my 66 years on earth been in a bar that was as wild as that night with my Mexican friends. The whole game was party time with a noise level to break your ear drums and riotous dancing all over the place including the table tops. When Toluca scored it was pandemonium. You could feel the rise and fall of emotion as the game went on, it is a miracle there were no heart attacks duriing the game. After the game the party moved to the street. Seemed all of Toluca turned out. Know what was nice? No violence, just a real good celebration.
