  1. Okay you Brits, have any of you seen Julian Beever's Chalk Art? He is from England. Also think he did some work in Canada, not sure where. Done on streets and sidewalks with the 3D versions truely amazing. Take a look at the 3D work, I do not know how his mind can conceive this art work. And then only have the rain wash it away. http://users.skynet.be/J.Beever/pave.htm Some day I would like to see this done in person and watch the art work develop.
  2. Not sure if this helps or not. http://www.state.mn.us/portal/mn/jsp/home.do?agency=Commerce
  3. I am actually on Mick's side with his distaste for camping. Where we differ is I won't complain, I play here by choice and follow the rules as set by XI. Bottom line, server rules apply, if I did not like the overall good of XI I would play elsewhere. Besides, there is a certain satisfaction in sneaking up behind a camper and stabbing the bugger. Oh........... BTW........... a pox on all campers.
  4. Felicitaciones por el nacimiento de su bebé.
  5. An article that might be of interest to CoD gamers http://www.aolnews.com/entertainment/article/hank-keirsey-the-real-soldier-behind-the-call-of-duty-games/19670564
  6. I had the same issues and eventually did a complete delete and reinstall of PB, it was the only thing that really seemed to help. I also have to make sure PC Tools Spyware Doctor is turned off....it seems to block PB and may contribute to the heartbeat issue. In researching Google I seem to recall Windows Defender in Win 7 may also contribute to this problem. Since I did the delete and full reinstall things are much better. I still can get the heartbeat kick but it is rare.
  7. DEEJAYKEG And, as for the scenes on the street, now we have an idea what it would look like if Chile ever won the World Cup! Slow down, now you are going too far The U.S. will win before Chile And in the States the next day would be business as usual with no celebration. I also suppose it's OK for some humor now that they have been rescued.
  8. Not too often an event can bring peoples of all countries together. For so long a crisis followed by the world. And then a celebration shared by the world. Apparently miracles can happen.
  9. Hickeydog I heard that one of the miner's wife found out that he was cheating on here while he was stuck in the mine. $50 says he the last guy to come up. I took that bet, you lose. Send money to XI for servers.
  10. While not having served in Nam myself many of my friends have. Closest I got was Thailand in 1963 for about 4 months. The below link allows you to "visit" the Wall with links to states and individuals from within those states. I thought it interesting. http://www.virtualwall.org/iStates.htm For those who have not visited the actual Vietnam Memorial let me just say that for me it was an emotional experience.
  11. Chile............ have you been able to get any sleep? I doubt it. Found myself riveted to the TV without the slightest personal connection to Chile myself. My wife has also closely followed the story because many members of her family are coal miners in PA. And it is sure nice to have a "Good News" story.
  12. The first miner and his son is destined to be the classic picture of the year. It's filled with human emotion. Who cannot but admire the inner strength of the miners, their families and the rescue workers. Anyone want to see a professional? Look at the miners and the rescue team.
  13. "Chi! Chi! Chi! Le! Le! Le!" Things are going well!!!!!!!!
  14. Just get me out, first or last would be of little concern by now.
  15. Just a post to wish the miners Good Luck on the pending extraction from the mine. This time tomorrow hopefully a few will have been reunited with their families with more to follow. I do hope the worst is over for them.

  19. As one who has received best wishes in both forum posts and in game let me tell you how much they have been appreciated. My problems have been minor and only jumped in to say your concerns for your Clan-mate can do worlds of good for him. The actions of XI members, as in this thread, has only increased my respect for the XI group. While only a guest if there is someone with direct contact with Reload please offer him my best wishes. The bonds established in this form of media are not to be taken lightly, they are a great tool for doing good.
  20. 2fewbeers Not bad for being computer illiterate Stale Beers !!! i nominate beers for the " Mentally challanged but computer capable " medal Perhaps that should also be Medal qualified?
  21. UnChileno I anit telling you NOTHING..I need to win the TOURNEY.. DOn't let Chile fool you, he just ain't
  22. UnChileno wow...hope you feel better.. Thank's to all the XI members and guests who have expressed their concern both here and in game. The brace is an annoyance and uncomfortable to wear when gaming. My head is pretty good except for occaissional battles with headaches that I was told to expect. I am making much fewer typos than before and take that as a good sign also. Wed. I will be scheduling my follow-up visits with Neurologists and Orthopedic Drs. Until those visits and probable cat scans not much new will be learned. Bottom line is I see improvement, I am already trying to figure out how to cheat with the brace and how I can sneak out of the house without wifey finding out....LOL. The fear pf paralysis has so far kept me on the straight and narrow path. The problem is cheating with the brace because you think you are better when you may not be as good as you feel. Even being a bit of a post whore helps pass time. This is being typed at 3:11 AM because staying in bed was very uncomfortable tonight. Seems if I get up and about a bit at night my back relaxes a bit and I can head back to bed.
  23. Okay, the Coon vs The Cat story. When I was a young teen I used to spend my summers at a home my parents were building in the Pocono Mtns. of PA. I was only 13 or so and on my own during the week. My parents came up on weekends to work on the house. When not eating pre-prepared food my Mom had made I would often go to a local Bar / Restaurant for some Italian food using money I had earned from doing odd jobs for neighbors. I was quite good and sawing and splitting wood. No chainsaws then, just a good old buck saw, sledge and wedges. I never got an allowance, always earned my money and was allowed to spend what I earned. Anyway Joe and Delores ran the restaurant and sort of welcomed me into their family. They also had two kids younger than me and the family Tomcat as a pet....if you could even call it a pet. Basically it just lived there. Some evenings after they closed the store we would sit out back and Delores would get us ice cream cones. Well, there was also a raccoon who had become domesticated and would come over to us and beg for food. Needless to say he found us as easy pickings. The restaurant always had something to be offered from leftovers. One evening Delores decided to give the raccoon her ice cream cone to see what he would do. Well that raccoon took that Ice cream cone and sat there holding it like the rest of us and thoroughly enjoying himself. Looked like he knew just what to do with an ice cream cone. All is well until the old Tomcat comes on the scene. I don't know what got into that cats mind, jealousy maybe, but he came up behind the raccoon and took a swipe at it with his front paws. Well that raccoon turned, growled, dropped the ice cream cone and chased after the cat. Old Tomcat thought he was smart and ran up the nearest tree, a place of safety I suspect he thought. Well he was wrong. That raccoon started right up the tree after him. Slower than the cat but making steady progress. By now all us humans were carrying on trying to discourage the raccoon from pursuing the cat. The raccoon obviously had no command of the English language and continued his pursuit of the cat. Up the tree they went, my guess about twenty feet before the cat started out on a branch. No matter the raccoon continued pursuit. Soon they are close and both making noise, the raccoon a growling sound and the cat hissing. Well that raccoon continued closing on the cat until the cat fell out of the tree and beat it for parts unknown. The raccoon at this time figured he had made his point to the cat, came back down the tree and resumed eating the ice cream cone which was now just lying melted on the ground. The raccoon ambled off when finished and needless to say that event has been retold many times. Both cat and coon showed up on other days but if the coon was there first you would not see the cat. If the cat was there first the raccoon would still come and the cat would leave. I am sure the cat felt the raccoon did not follow the rules and never should have been able to climb that tree. After I got older and began hunting with Joe it was always a story that had to be told at the hunting camps we visited. Always worth a few laughs no matter how often told. What's missing here is hearing Joe tell the story. He was Italian, emotional, and not in full command of the English language. Add to it the expressionism of the Italian people and you can only imagine the laughs it got. Joe himself would have tears in his eyes from laughing before he was done telling. Anyway, one of my cherished childhood memories.
  24. I thought Whiners were not allowed on XI? Of course what do I know, never had a tattoo and never plan on getting one.
