Is your middle finger worn to a stub or have you resorted to resting bricks, books or beer cans on your mouse when harvesting your cobble generator in SkyBlock?  There is an alternative:  AutoHotkey.

AutoHotkey is a little program that allows you to create a script to bind keys to certain behaviors.  In my case I used the following script so that when I press the "Z" key my left mouse button goes down until I press the "Z" key again:

z::

Toggle:=GetKeyState("LButton")

Send % "{Click " . ( Toggle ? "Up}" : "Down}" )

return

I first came across this utility in this forum post:

Minecraft, hold left mouse button

Later I also found these additional Minecraft related scripts:

I hate it when people use these programs for games like Magicka.

I have heard people with a keyboard or mouse that supports macros use this or something similar already. This is just a handy tool independent from those types of setups.

I'm still considering it. The single player really turned me off of it, but I hear multiplayer is a whole other experience. That is why I have been reluctant. because 27 bucks when i didnt enjoy the single player. Does it go on sale do you know?

I'm not sure bout going on sale. Multiplayer is kinda like the single player. except for the fact that you can have other players join you an build and create things. You can play mini games. and you can interact with others. Its worth the $27, gives you a change from playing normal PC games and lets you have a fun quiet creative side. There are mods and renders you can add on so it doesn't always look like 8 bit lol.  And so far from what I have seen in our XI server there is a great community of people. Great help with basically everything and anything you need. And also there are not so many people in the TS server trying to talk at once lol.

Correct me if I'm wrong, isn't scripting sort of cheating? Using another program other than the game itself to play a game? I always considered it to be anyways..

This does not change functionality, or enhance game play in any way. No one is able to gain anything or any ability they would not otherwise have with the click of a mouse. It is simply binding an action to a key. No different than using a mouse or keyboard that supports macros that lets you perform a multi-key keystroke to a single button.

So using a letter on your keyboard to function as a left click in game for what it is being used for only allows the player to break a block without having to click the mouse for every action.

The Minecraft admins have discussed this specific topic and do not feel it is cheating.

You should join us in-game, we are having a blast!  :cheers:

If you still have access to the email you used when you signed up for Minecraft you should still be able to go through the "Forgot my password" process to get your account back.  If not it gets more complicated.  You can still email their support department but they might need to do something like verify the credit card you used to pay for it or something.

I don't know what scroll shooting is, so I couldn't comment on that though.  There have always been macro enabled keyboards and mice so Auto Hotkey is no more cheating than those would be.  If you have moral objections nobody is going to make you use it though.

The folllowing is my script. This allows the equal symbol to perform left click over and over until I interupt it. and it allows me to hold down the dash as right click, so you can sell items in the shops quicker.

Very handy.

=::
Toggle:=GetKeyState("LButton")
Send % "{Click " . ( Toggle ? "Up}" : "Down}" )
return

-::
Send, {Mouse down}
MouseClick, Right
return
