I got new back tire last year. Front tire year b4 that... So tires are good.. I got brakes to put on it just havent put em on .. they are in my saddlebags.. comes with a toolkit.. and yes it is shaft!! Love this bike... hate to get rid of it!! But i will get another one day.. lol.. Great bike for the money!! Been garage kept since i owned it.. Only thing wrong with this bike is the back lights.. Went over a bridge had a rough bump and broke my license plate.. Tail lights need rewiring .. as u can see in 2nd picture, it had a lighted license plate.. Its gone now.. but when it broke it messed up the wires.. Other then that this bike is perfect!! Starts right up, sounds great.. Saddlebags come off with lock/key velcro ... pm me if any questions and i give ya my phone number!! Kelly's Blue Book lists it at $2005.. http://www.kbb.com/motorcycle/retail/1995/suzuki/vs800gl-intruder-800/233623 So I figured thats good deal as is.. Its a sharp bike..
