However you would like to decide who you are friends with? Well by default anyone add you as a friend. To change this so you can accept and decline a friends request, simply clcik on your name at the top of the website, and choose "My Settings". Then half way down that page under the Friends section, put a tick against "Allow me to approve members before they're added as a friend". Then save changes at the bottom of the page. Now when someone requests to be friends with you you will get a notification in the little globe next to your PM envelope at the top of the website. Simply click on the friend request and either accept or decline the request. Job Done.

If you come across a signature that is too big, and is taking up all your viewing space, do as follows. Go to a post of the person who has a large signature. At the top right of their signature you will see a little X. Click it, and you will get offered to ignore that persons signatures, or all signatures. Click ignore that person signature, and now the signature will disappear for your viewing of all their past and future posts. Want to see that signature again? Go to your name at top right, and choose "manage ignore pref". Now you will see that persons name, and a hide button relating to their signature. Click the button and it will say show. Now go and that person's posts and the signature will be viewable again.

Some people like to to view posts by using the latest posts on the left hand side of the homepage. Other like to amble through the forums themselves. However some people don't have a great amount of time, and would like to just view content they haven't read, or new content since their last visit to the website. Well this is possible as follows: On any page, you will see a "view new content" button under the search facility near to top right. Click on that. Then choose forums under the "By content type", and then either "content i have not read" or "new since my last visit" under the "by time period" section. This will now only show posts based on your choosen criteria. As you can see there are many other criteria that you can filter on. Give it a go.

Though you would like to keep some for reference in the future, but may find it hard to find the one in question. Fear not, by creating a folder to store them in as follows: When in the PM system you will see a "My Folders" section on the left. Click "Add" at the bottom, and you will be presented with an area to create a new folder name. Type the name of your choice, and click the little + symbol at the end. You will now see a newly created folder within "My Folders". Now click on "My Conversations" folder again, and click the little tick box at the right hand side of any PM's you want to keep. Once done, scroll to the bottom right. Click the dropdown menu that you see, and choose the newly created folder under the "Or Move To..." section. Finally click "Go" next to the dropdown box, and your selected PM's will be moved to this new folder. Job Done.
