Thanks for all the interest. Yes it freezes the liquid inside the pipe solid and it adheres to the pipe forming an ice plug. We have frozen chilled water, fire and domestic water lines. We've also frozen ethlyene glycol and fuel oil at a nuclear power plant. If its liquid - minus 325 will make it solid. As far as fracturing the pipe, mild steel below minus 50 is brittle as glass. Engineers say the pipe will fracture. To date since 1992 the only fractures we've had we made under controled conditions to see what we could get away with. See ya's in the server where may freeze capabilities are limited by my poor aim.

Hey Idiots - I love playing on freeze tag on svr # 1. I thought I'd post my day job which is pipe freezing. If I've done it correctly there's a short You Tube link here. It shows a 24" pipe we recently froze at Miami International Airport in South Florida. The airport requires about 18,000 tons of a/c at any given time. This process allows the airports a/c to remain online while repairs are made to part of their system. Windows 8 Pro (PC) is what I have on an HP Envy - Quad Core. I have a licensed copy of Win 7 and want to run both on the same machine. I don't want to downgrade or modify the Win 8 to look like Win 7. Its a want not a need as are most things in the techy world. Let me know if you have any ideas. There are lots of links for adding Win 8 to any machine already running Win 7; however I have the oppisite and want to add my Win 7 (which is on its own separate HDD) into my laptop which supports two HDD. Unfortunately the start up and what we use to call the cmos set up is configured differently when the computer comes with Win 8 pre installed.

This is kinda the problem I'm facing. There's lots of info for adding and dual booting Win 8 on your win 7 machine. When you buy a machine that is orginally equiped with Win 8 and want to add Win 7 as the secondary OS its a problem. The Win 8 format doesn't want to allow the installation of the Win 7 OS.

I have a new laptop that I purchased with Win 8 Pro. I was hoping to dual boot Win 8 and Win 7 on the same machine as I had done with 7 and XP. The new Win 8 has some boot up querts that make this set up impossible as I see it. I'm looking for advice on how to run 7 under win 8 or dual boot. The old easy bcd just didn't cut it.
