A SSD in an older PC or Laptop is great and gives you a nice boost when you run programs. Although yes, you might have a SATA 2 controller, but it would be fine. The speed would be like 2,5 faster rather than a conventional harddrive.

Its is for sure a FPS (First person shooter) game. But at some servers you can switch between first and third person shooter. At "Hardcore" mode, you do not have the third person option with the right ENTER key on your keyboard. In here you can see that:

If you play alone and use Directcomms, that can give a problem as the Zeds and NPC's (AI) / enemy, can hear you and get a trigger on you. It is a game that is way complicated rather than BF3. The main reason is that Arma 2 is a Army simulation, where you can build your own bases and defend it and do side missions. Plus you can repair vehicles and fight against players or AI. Yes for now DayZ is a Mod for Arma 2. I just hope by this Vote that people get or have the game and one of the games, you just have to get.

I bet you have plans for your map. What direction do you want to go with it. A sniper map with towers or for the Ace server / FreezeTag server? I am sure when you have it all together that we would like to run your map on one of our servers. Great that you post some screenshots and I hope you keep on doing that, while updating your map.

That can take a few months. Dean just said in a interview that they like to have the game as in full polished released game. I think it is worth to wait for it and Wasteland is a cool mission to play on, besides DayZ.
