I was the son of a construction worker in the south.. which means I moved every year whether I liked it or not. In moving around, I got to be one of nearly every peer group. I was a Jock, a science nerd, a prep, and a 'Head'.. the whole Breakfast Club in one dude.. just depending on where I was at and who I hit it off with at the time. Welcome to our forums Crazy, glad you found us. You've made a fine choice in the Stoner. If it's good enough to be a favorite of the SEAL teams, it's damn good enough for me. I've admired that weapon for many years. The mauser you have is considered the best 98 out there, so good choice. My favorite rifle doesn't come close to the pedigree of either you mentioned. Since before I was a teen I have had one or more of these rifles in my collection, and it's general utility and use day to day has ensured it's slung over my shoulder almost as often as a buck knife is in the front right pocket of my jeans. The Ruger 10-22, in some variation, has hunted and plinked with me since the early 70's. I've had almost every imaginable variation and mod, but my hands-down favorite is the plain-jane factory birch wood stock blued .22 long rifle carbine .. with a couple 25 round Ram-line or Hot-lip banana clips. There are many high end guns in my collection, but none of them have brought me more use and fun than this rifle.

I am originally from the great state of ALABAMA. Raised in a small town called Cherokee in the north/west corner of Colbert County. I now live in Graniteville, South Carolina... just across the Savannah river from Augusta, Georgia.. home of The Masters golf course and location of The Masters Golf Tournament. I do not play golf!

PigDog I watch Lost too, and I admit that I am pretty Lost at this point, but I am looking forward to the final show. My favorite show of all time though, is 24.....Jack Bauer is The Man! The final episode of 24 is on this Monday and I am going into mourning aftetr that......I always have to watch it real-time....no TiVo'ing that show! And Bama, I am changing my Avatar to Jack Bauer, in honor of the end of that show..... I have never watched 24, but have had a lot of peeps tell me that I was really missing a good show. Looks like after LOST is over I have something to download and watch.

Sadesky You think the writers may have wore out a couple of bongs during their writing sessions. It got so involved, back stories, how all the characters crossed paths before the crash, how the end was the start, or the start was the end, anyway bitching show. Well, what other reason could you have for the 'Smoke Monster' being on the Island? lol DUDE!!!!!! and StormCrow.. I know Locke is a sad character.. but I think thats why I like him so much. You have a point though, I thing Ben (Michael Emerson) is one of the best on screen characters of all time. Check this out..lol (only funny to fans)

I know it just one guys opinion, but I have never watched a more intricate, thought provoking show ever.. that was also the most entertaining hour of TV each week. There is no comparison to any other show in my book. If there was a church of LOST, I'd be a cardinal.. at least.. with eyes on getting my hands on the big funny hat.

There are ring shank nails.. but no screw head. What you have there is weird.

I think it will be a good ending. All the questions won't be answered, but that is what makes it such a great show in my opinion.. kinda like real life. Changing the Avatar for a week in tribute.. John Locke was always my favorite.

For 6 years I have been one of those creepy, nerdy type LOST super fans. I don't remember ever talking about it here, but the Series Finale is Sunday night.. and I'm really excited about it. I'm actually taking off work to watch it real time.. even though I have TiVo, (yes, I am an Idiot) I couldn't stand to be at work and not see the last show when it airs. Anyone else love LOST here?

Consider ASUS if you end up buying a mobo.. I spent a lot of money on a board by them and it has been worth the extra.. very stable and does everything I want and more.

I found this by accident today, and I'll start by saying I HAVE NO IDEA IF IT WORKS OR WHAT IT MAY DO TO YOUR CURRENT COD4 INSTALLATION, USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. The idea behind it seems pretty cool. It's a mod that allows you to play multiplayer maps in team type modes using bots as your team mates and as the opposing team. Like I said, I have not installed it or know much about it.. so be careful. The latest version appears to be 9.. and a link to it is on the last post in the two pages of the thread.
