Hi, kids! Just moved into a new house in a different part of the city. I WAS getting 10meg DL speed. It's now 0.25meg DL speed. Thanks Verizon! Next week, I'll be getting cable and subscribing to a 50Meg DL Speed!!! It'll make my toob and nades blow you up faster........................................... Grandaddy

FASTFILE FOR ZONE 'MOD' IS CORRUPT OR UNREADABLE This is the message on my desktop after attempting to get into ANY XI server. During the loading attempt, the "DOS' screen shows the map server quickly attempting to download each 'ff' file, and then, the game crashes. I've "Googled' this problem several times, and have yet to obtain a "fix". I even re-installed the game, but, even that doesn't work. If YOU have any idea what the problem is, along with a handy 'fix', I'd appreciate reading about it. ALSO- I've gone into my COD 4 directories, where the downloads 'should' be placed, only to find the 3 'ff' files having a size of 6 kb each If nothing else, can someone post the URL of the servers containing the "xiace" and "freeze tag" maps, so that I can go through the process of downloading and installing the 'ff' files "manually"? I sho does appreciate it! Oh yeah, HAPPY FATHER'S day to all you Fathers! Grandaddy

On the XI Mod server, my system tries, in vain, to download new maps and *.iwd files to no avail. I'm forced to CTRL-ALT-DEL to bring up Task Manager to stop the program. This has been going on for the past several days. Any ideas?? Thanks! Your Grandaddy

From my "professional experience" in the criminal justice system... BE CAREFUL when you try to 'HELP OUT'. Hi, Kids! Grandaddy here. Been on the server forever--just about. Been playing computer games since Grandma got me a Commodore-64 back in the 80's. (The BEST C-64 game was IMPOSSIBLE MISSION). Jokingly, I tell other players who call me a NOOB, that "I ain't no NOOB. I was a beta tester for PONG!" In February, 2010, I retired, after nearly 36 years, as a Virginia Magistrate. I issued arrest warrants, search warrants, and set bail for persons under arrest. In fact, I've pretty much seen and heard everything imaginable. I wandered onto the XTREME server one day, and was literally blown away by the players as well as the game play itself. I cracked up the first time I was knifed in the back and called a B-WORD for my trouble. So, if you have any legal questions, I'm all ears...
