I have always had the perma-emp happen occasionally, and seemingly randomly.

Re, going into a car near a dropzone and respawning in spawn: I believe there is about a 15 foot radius around the dropzone where any player that goes into a remote control killstreak inside of will get sent back to spawn. So just make sure to get a bit away from it when you go into a car.

Another IDEA: For every additional player on the enemy team that is NOT frozen, add a second of killstreak respawn time. So, the base time would be 0 seconds. If the teams are even or your team is in the lead, you come out of your killstreak immediately. If your team is down 8 to 4, you get 4 seconds, 15 to 1, 14 seconds (maybe a cap at 8 or 10), 2 to 1, 1 second, etc.

I know this is much more work but, IDEA: Instead of reducing the time, players respawn from a killstreak (or even death / new round) and immediately start to "fade" back to visible. Maybe with a Predator type cloaking that slowly reveals the player. But since the players can kinda be seen a little bit right away, they can fire right away as well. Just a thought!

Since COD4 no longer supports macOS, I play it exclusively on Windows via Boot Camp. I cannot vote.

Just got a brand new MacBook Pro 2018 15" and the absolute first thing I did before anything else was install Steam, install COD4, go through giving Mic access ( Fancytricks solution ) and...THE MIC IS STILL NOT WORKING!!! I might have to find a new game now that I have a good graphics card....

I had already zapped PRAM, but did the SMC too...no go. Did the mic reset, it cleared out the security list, re-granted access to COD4...no go.

mic is on in game ( options > voice chat ) but levels bar doesn’t show anything. tried built-in macbook mic, five different wired headset mics and three different bluetooth headset mics. each time i make sure in sys prefs > sound that i have the mic selected for input and level bars are strong.

I already have COD4, COD4 Multiplayer and Steam app allowed microphone access system prefs security. Still doesn't work ( even after reinstalling the app and re-allowing access ). ? Send beer whiskey plz....

I am using the Steam version. But if you're saying there's a chance the Mac App Store version might work, it would be worth it to repurchase...

A test case has been submitted and completed by our QA team with the following results: This issue has been confirmed on multiple games that support VOIP chat on macOS 10.14. I apologize in advance for overusing the built in sound commands.

Ok, yall aren't getting it. I am looking for a list of users that have posted in a topic. So, for example, on this topic, somewhere near the top or side, it would show a list: Participants in this Topic: Noumenon (creator) Angelz Sonovabich Maybe with the usernames being links to their profiles.

I mean a list of just the usernames. Not the posts themselves.

Is there already a way to see everyone that has posted in a topic? If not, difficult to implement?
