At the bottom is a link please take note of the grave stones and location of grave and the conditions they are in This is how we honor our dead Soldiers in private cemeteries in the USA Thank you Belgium * EDIT * http://www.wereth.org/en/home -
December 17 1944 : Forgotten Massacre - Wereth 11 On the afternoon of December 17, 1944, over 80 GIs who had been taken prisoner were gunned down by men of the 1st SS Panzer Division. Some escaped to spread the story, which led to a steely resolve on the part of American troops. But later that night another massacre occurred that received little attention during or after the war. Eleven men from the 333rd Field Artillery Battalion were taken prisoner after taking refuge in a Belgian village. They surrendered peacefully to a squad from the 1st SS, and marched out of the village. Upon arriving in a large field along the main road, the men were beaten and finally executed. These brave warriors gave there lives for you and me... The only payment we could offer them is to honor them and honor ourselfs and others in there names.. Names of the Wereth 11 The troops killed were: Staff Sergeant Thomas J. Forte, service #34036992. Buried Henri-Chapelle plot C, row 11, grave 55. Awards: Purple Heart T/4 William Edward Pritchett of Alabama T/4 James A. Stewart of West Virginia, Service number 35744547. Buried Henri-Chapelle, plot C, row 11, grave 2. Awards: Purple Heart Cpl Mager Bradley of Mississippi PFC George Davis of Alabama, service #34553436. Buried Henri-Chapelle, plot D, row 10, grave 61. Awards: Purple Heart PFC James L. Leatherwood of Pontotoc, Mississippi PFC George W. Moten of Texas, service #38304695. Buried Henri-Chapelle, plot E, row 10, grave 29. Awards: Purple Heart PFC Due W. Turner of Arkansas, service #38383369. Buried Henri-Chapelle, plot F, row 5, grave 9. Awards: Purple Heart Pvt Curtis Adams of South Carolina, service #34511454. Buried Henri-Chapelle, plot C, row 11, grave 41. Awards: Purple Heart Pvt Robert Green Pvt Nathanial Moss of Texas, service #38040062. Buried Henri-Chapelle, plot F, row 10, grave 8. Awards: Purple Heart Curtis Adams was a medic. Thomas J. Forte was a mess sergeant. In the end some of the men from the 333rd Field Artillery Battalion would capture and take there enemies captive The 333rd Field Artillery Battalion suffered more casualties during the Battle of the Bulge than any other artillery unit in the VIII Corps http://www.ww2vehicles-and-meetings.be/PICTURE%20PAGINA%20THE%2011.html

Let us Remember The 71st Anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge 12/16/1944 to 01/25/1945 In December 1944, Adolph Hitler attempted to split the Allied armies in northwest Europe by means of a surprise blitzkrieg thrust through the Ardennes to Antwerp. Caught off-guard, American units fought desperate battles to stem the German advance at St.-Vith, Elsenborn Ridge, Houffalize and Bastogne. As the Germans drove deeper into the Ardennes in an attempt to secure vital bridgeheads, the Allied line took on the appearance of a large bulge, giving rise to the battle’s name. Lieutenant General George S. Patton’s successful maneuvering of the Third Army to Bastogne proved vital to the Allied defense, leading to the neutralization of the German counteroffensive despite heavy casualties. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_the_Bulge The Germans' initial attack included 200,000 men, 340 tanks and 280 other tracked vehicles. Between 67,200 and 125,000 of their men were killed, missing or wounded. For the Americans, 610,000 men were involved in the battle,of whom 89,000 were casualties, including up to 19,000 killed. Along with the Battle of Okinawa and the Battle of Luzon, it was one of the largest and bloodiest battles fought by the United States in World War II All gave some ...Some gave all The forces at work here were as follows Belligerents United States United Kingdom France Canada Belgium Luxembourgish resistance The debt that we owe can never be repayed but our thanks and gratefulness shall live forever https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_the_Bulge#/media/File:117th_Infantry_North_Carolina_NG_at_St._Vith_1945.jpg

America was supplying the UK with armaments very early on but didnt want to join the fight because the citizens were not willing to .....Pearl Harbor changed the American thinking.. My Grandfather sailed the MS East Indian 216812 with hidden supplies he was a Engineer on her for years...She was a Steamer The East Indian was torpedoed of the horn of Africa by a German Uboat U-181 Nov. 3 1942 and my Grandfathers final sail on her was April 4th 1942 https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2KS6sfqM0fOM3kydG9SOHV0NDA/view -

It has been predicted in years gone by that the USA would have to reach third world status before it could ever rise again ! Are we now today living it and riding it into the ground or just setting it up for the next few generations ? -
DECEMBER 7TH A date which will live in infamy We shall never forget this day that not only knocked the America to its knees but truly did awaken a fighting force and a steadfast American people to turn into one of the greatest war machines ever seen.... Franklin Delano Roosevelt would deliver the very next morning his famous address to the American people and the World would hear --> Let us all remember those today that died and there families and also the lives that would forever be changed and take pride in knowing when the bell was rung America stood up and went to work building itself into a Fighting force to be reckoned with.. Pearl Harbor would be avenged and America would rise as the Greatest industrialized Country ever Thank you to those men and women who gave there all ! God blessed us then with that generation

Is still standing today with the factory (across the street) in disrepair and on the Goverments clean up list with asbestos being its reason...The history there is huge there even Blackbeard has ties to this small town...The oil refineries were its bread and butter for the last 100+ years as to which Sun Oil shutter there doors about 5 years back taking 500+ jobs and a large funding with it.. There is always renewed hope and it seems it will soon come but just maybe to late *Natural Gas* Sunoco Logistics owns and operates the Marcus Hook Industrial Complex, located primarily in the borough of Marcus Hook in Delaware County. The facility is an international hub for natural gas liquids-propane, ethane, butane-from the Marcellus Shale region of Western Pennsylvania. About 850 contractors are working on the Mariner East One project, which commenced operations in the fourth quarter of 2014, and the Mariner East Two project, which is expected to commence operations in the fourth quarter of 2016. July 7, 2015. Dan Gleiter | [email protected] Gleiter | dgleiter@pennlive. Near the port terminals, giant storage tanks are rising above ground. Taken as a unit, they are capable of holding close to 800,000 barrels of propane and ethane. Cranes hover overhead while ant-sized contractors build the giant tanks.
