Hi all: Muffinhandz here... I was playing via my Son's Steam account and he took it back. So, I got a new account, downloaded COD4 again and can't seem to find any viable servers. Anyone have any ideas? Do I have to downgrade to version 1.7? Any help would be apprciated.

Is anyone experiencing really slow map download speeds? I have a 200MB connection and tested the speed twice, but when a COD4 map goes to load, the speed is 12KB/sec, so an average of 22 minutes wait time, versus the usual 6 to 10 seconds. I usually just jump out, close COD4, close STEAM, re-open and it's fine. This time I did that three times and even restarted my system once. When I went back in, the problem was still there.

I am a territory manager for Johnson Controls in their HVAC division. 10-story buildings or larger and the Planned Service Agreements that accompany the equipment.

Thank you very much for the invite for Saturday's virtual Happy Hour, but sadly, I will be attending the inurnment (burial) or my aunt Mary, who actually passed away on Nov 6th, 2019 but due to Covid, we had to re-schedule it five times. We finally settled on this weekend and it will be Saturday. Tip one for me and another one for Mary Ketterer, my "other Mom" - we were very close and we'll finally get closure after waiting so long. Crap! Missed it! Was UTV'ing all day! Are there ways to get email reminders? I don't have a way to set up a reminder and to be honest, I don't check this page often enough to meet a "deadline".

Hmmm, I think I got it. I ran a registry cleaner (Glary Utilities), re-started and that seemed to do the trick.

No, I connect via Steam, so it just hangs and hangs, then the error box pops up.

To whomever can help... I used to get this error when playing the game through my computer speakers. To "fix" it, I simply plugged in my headset/mic. Now, it's all the time and COD4 will not start due to this error. Any ideas on how to fix it? I tried to fix it via this suggestion: https://ccm.net/faq/4482-cod-4-crashes-iw3mp-exe-has-stopped-working But the problem is back. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

Rob - there are TWO sexes. Male and Female. Can there be gender dysphoria? I suppose so. Can there be someone f*cked in the head enough to "identify" as the opposite? Sure. Happens a lot. BUT - God put a MAN and a WOMAN on this earth to allow our human species to NOT DIE OUT. However, that is already happening in low birth rates in developed countries. A society has to have a 2.2 birthrate in order to sustain itself. And, by "sustain", I mean from generation to generation, we have to have enough young people paying into the system to take care of the old. That is simply not happening in MANY developed nations.

Since I graduated High School in 1984, I was literally in the heart of the 80's music craze. I saw three distinct types of music in the 80's 80's Pop (Michael Jackson, Madonna, etc) 80's Metal (Dokken, Poision, Whitesnake, etc) 80's Alternative (INXS, REM, U2, The Church, Peter Murphy) Although "Cuts You Up" by Peter Murphy was released in 1989, I still find it the quintessential 80's song.
