  1. Cashew milk? it has ewww in the name!
  2. Chocolate milk comes from chocolate cows, and don't even start with almond milk ...
  3. I think local travel within the system is entirely possible, within the Galaxy for the life span and health requirements of a human i don't think it's possible. Maybe I'm wrong about this but based off my understanding of physics and time and all that it's not likely.
  4. Lol if only... I am very unartistic
  5. They may or may not be intelligent life to be capable of giving up hope. But even if they do die and all that it doesn't matter because they existed and the point of existence is all that mattered for me
  6. @Helio told me about this thread on discord so i had to add my comments... @Spartacus almost finished the heuristic proof of aliens he just had to add in the assumption of .0000001% or some small percent chance for life on a given planet you'd end up with 10^12 * 10^11 *.8 * 2 * 10^-9 = 1.6x10^14 planets with life on them in the universe. Lets also remember that the universe is only like 13.8 billion years old so maybe that number is taking into account future and past dead planets, which even still that implies there should still currently be something somewhere in the cosmos that is not human. That all being said see the other thread about the size of the universe. There's no chance we have or will ever meet those creatures. We, the human race, are all in a small planet sized jail that we cannot leave except to go to our one natural satellite and then return home shortly after.
  7. You just gave me another reason to make a home theater... I've got it mostly planned out, need them diysoundgroup.com aggressive 1299 bad boys for the lcr and then some ht 8s or ht 10s for rears. Going to be hard core and i never have to worry about some nasty skin infection. It'll be cheaper in the long run too
  8. This is the truth. the planet will be fine but we will not be. i'm hoping that "we" are able to survive, i'd like to hope my kids are able to grow up in a world that's not beyond their hope of saving. They're ages 3.5 and 1.5 currently.
  9. polynomials are useful for a lot of things. today i was working on an application that designs compressors and there are many circles and lines that have tangencies, which means that circles and lines have to have the same slope which means derivatives and things with squares... so it's useful for that and many other daily things that people don't think about.
  10. because smart people know not to deal with the mess of politics
  11. So i have a bachelor's of science in mathematics and i didn't learn anything newer than the past 100 yrs till i got into the graduate level studies. Most of the things people learn are old. Calculus is from Newton's time, in the late 1600s. It's sad really but there is a lot of math out there and it takes a lot of time to truly learn it and understand it all.
  12. I was saying Trump because he is going against the Paris talks to help keep Earth from become too hot with global warming stuff. If it keeps going we'll all end up dying and it wont matter who is in charge.
  13. Lol high school math?(stupid phone is capitalizing letters so just deal with that...) Ax^2+bx+c=0 X^2+b/ax +c/a=0 X^2+b/ax+b^2/4a^2=b^2/4a^2-c/a (X+b/2a)^2=(b^2-4ac)/4a^2 X+b/2a=+/-√(b^2-4ac)/2a X=(-b+/-√(b^2-4ac))/2a Now if you want some harder algebra stuff look at lie algebra... That is some good stuff
  14. I live in the US, and i don't care for Trump, he's really not a good man, i don't like Hilary either so lets skip that, but i do like how Trump reduced my taxes last year but 5%...
  15. So i had a class in college about general relativity and based on that the actual size of the universe is finite however with the life span of a human it's infinite in size. The nearest star being 4 light years implies that it would take at least 4 yrs or more to get there when traveling the speed of light. Take into account the time to speed up and slow down such that it doesn't just kill you means many more years. You'll be dead when you even get to the closest star. Other topic mentioned was infinity. I've had many classes on this topic... So there are many versions of infinity, so lets start with the beginning. First there are finite which implies that there exists a fixed number to count the elements in the set. Next is countably infinite which means that if you had enough time then you could order said items and count them up. This is true for sets as large as the rationals. Next is uncountably infinite. This is a complicated concept because there are literally an uncountably infinite number of values that fall into this category. The number set that frequently is looked at for this is the reals. So to make life easier they've invented a naming system that's easier to write, called the aleph number. So aleph0 is the countably infinite set. Aleph1 is the size of the reals. And aleph2 is the next and so on. Aleph0 +1 is the same size as aleph0 and aleph0 + aleph1 is the same size as aleph1. To go from n to n+1 in the aleph system the set must be infinitely larger than the previous one. The simplest operation is the exponentially operation, so 2^alephn=alephn+1. Ok that's maybe too much... I'll stop here...
  16. Is it a vote? Lol
  17. Normally i go to sleep ok but i end up waking after only few hours... At least i try to sleep...
  18. Shouldn't you be sleeping right now Barron? Lol

    headset

A good resource from a person that has tried many headphones and headsets can be found here: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/mad-lust-envys-headphone-gaming-guide-6-18-2019-creative-sxfi-air-added.534479/
  20. Some people like curved monitors because it puts you more into the game and it prevents hard angles to the pixels. Stand up and move to the left or right of your monitor. Most monitors will have color shifts. Having a curved monitor reduces the discoloration effect in the far corners of the larger screens. That all being said i don't see a reason for anything other than flat. They force you to try and sit in the center of the ark/circle and can cost more without really giving a better experience in my opinion.

    headset

I agree with this in general. Those aren't the best headphones for gaming but price to perform they'll best a lot of headsets. A desk mic can be around 10-20 bucks depending on what you want or you can go crazy and spend $100+ on the mic but most in game speech communications don't have good enough quality for something like that. As far as headphones go, you should look for open or semi open if you're able to get away with it. The imaging tends to be better and the 5.1 stuff on headsets is all bad. The better imaging will tell you where the "bad guy" is coming from from better. If you want a little better than the superlux newegg tends to have good prices on the phillips shp9500.
  22. Supposed to introduce myself... I mostly play insurgency currently. Been off and on over the last few years on the game. Not sure what else to say? I have 2 young kids that are crazy. Might even get the older one on insurgency on her own account in the next year because she wants to play too much!
