  1. It will be on the next. When ready I dont know where Rugger wants to put it. Ran into a couple unexpected code issues over the last week... again... and some unknown bugs to fix. Also the suddendeath / overtime thing. It just never ends.

  3. Make one of the four pillars in Maya or Blender. Both inside and out. Export it as an xmodel and import it into a prefab with the usual blocking volumes etc to be used multiple times. The entrances and windows have to be made in Maya so its best to make all four the same. Or, make it so everything is in one and you can add closed doors or something in radiant to block entrances you dont want.
  4. Imho I wouldnt remove the map nor any streaks. Unless the map itself is buggy or takes way too long to play for ftag. A few maps on the server are certainly better suited to s&d. Sometimes wondered if it were possible to make a good cross between ftag and s&d or sabotage. Or maybe ctf. Not sure how the gameplay would work in practice but it would cut down the hide and seek aspects on big maps that take forever. Would also force players to work together to do more than simply unfreeze. Ftag has been missing alternate gametypes and not just a variation on tdm. My 2 cents worth in a day and age when 2 cents isnt worth much.
  5. Some maps wont work with heli's because the mapper did not put in all the requirements for full heli support. Typically they lack some needed nodes such as arrival and destination locations. Or crash locations. Maybe evasion nodes. If a heli is above a small map it is not going to go very far and that much easier to shoot down with an rpg. It would be a good idea for one person on your team to get a SAM for defense. Put it in the right place and it's a turkey shoot. Maybe one or two people with an RPD and the armor piercing perk. Ignores all vehicle armor.
  6. Dont forget the grail beacon. Also all the blondes and brunettes between sixteen and nineteen and a half.
  7. Are you sure you arent speaking of another mod? But in all seriousness if a map is terrible with artillery/overwatch then its going to suck with airstrikes and heli's also. Imagine this mod if it didnt have a 3-streak loadout limit.

  9. I hardly ever get a chance to actually play the mod anymore. Not against real people anyways. But last evening was cool even with the jammer bug. Did make for an interesting game however with no minimap. Default range of EMP is 256 units. But it can be raised up to 512. I did see the ac130 and it seemed to work ok on the map that had it. Not sure if I saw any kills but the rounds hit. If there are any suspect maps let me know what they are to see if they have unusually small map boundaries.
  10. Trying a new idea for jamming. It doesnt freeze you. It deflects you from the player that has it. As for perks that only last for a limited time, no. That kind of thing is reserved for equipment that you either plant or use to kill.

  13. Yes I know what you mean about the wall. Uses literally the same radius damage method as the mw3 betty does. I didnt take any short cuts. I suppose that is one of the better things about using an upgraded but old game engine instead of making a new one or licensing something more advanced. You know things will work the way they did before.
  14. Betties operate exactly the same as in mw3 and are also balanced the same in terms of damage, range, trigger time etc. If they trip then quickly go to prone. Depending on how quick you are it may not prevent all damage but will limit the amount done. But... before anyone says that doesnt work keep in mind that health on this server is set at 30 not 100.
  15. Cant please everybody. Thought I read in another post that several servers were having problems yesterday and that it was likely a provider problem. RC health can easily be bumped up in the server configs. So its up to whoever controls the settings to change it and find a number that balances nicely with the gameplay. Then again, you are shooting a C4 pack with wheels. Not a tank. Edit: health is the same thing. I have said multiple times already that if the consensus among all the admins and players is that its too easy to kill then increase health from 30 to 40.
  16. Yes added a hardpoint delay at the beginning of the round. Was also responsible for the disappearing nades when activating the RC immediately after the round begins but before the nade delay was done. Latest update on the test server. edit: I am not yet quite sure about the 128 bones error yet. But its definitely one of the Arab models and a particular combination of weapons and other attached models. Might be the ACR.
  17. Well I had already posted that the auto balancing thing was a server option and nothing wrong with the mod. Other servers may like the auto balancing and its their choice. Not sure what you mean about perks not working but there was an attachment/perk1 bug. Finished the next update this past weekend and did the best we could for testing and balance considering the few people who actually tried it on the test server. Largest number of players it ever had at one time was 3.
  18. Lots of stuff here. http://www.customcod....php?topic=28.0 Making materials is pretty straight forward depending on how complicated you want to make it. Create a custom gdt file to hold all of your custom stuff in assman and add the new materials there. naming conventions of images from cod4 or onward (not sure about cod2). _c is the color image. _n for normal. _spec for specular. _cos for the cosine power map. Not everything needs all of that and my guess is that a simple wall only needs the color one. otoh most stock xmodels typically use them all.
  19. Ah yes ok I know that one. It wasnt switching back to your primary weapon but it was there. Pushing 1 or 2 will bring it up. I think it only happened if you also had the crossbow. But not entirely certain. RC activation is being done a little differently to address some issues and I am reasonably sure that one will be fixed but will only know when its testing in a large environment.
  20. What do you mean? The spawn protection? As for when, the test sever is there for people to discover kinks like that so I could fix them quickly. But few are interested. So that would mean, if Rugger wants to do it, is put it up as-is and take the chance that nothing major will go wrong. And also to realize that it will take longer to fix anything. Up to the admins to discuss on what to do.
  21. Unless you are replacing the image in a stock material by just renaming the iwi to the original cod4 name you have to make a new material.
  22. This is why the test server is there. Removed more glow related settings.

  24. In another thread I posted the link to the 1.43 testing server that has the change. As well as the fix for glow issue I think. But that needs to be tested. I invite people to please go there so it can be put through the various stress tests and to make sure things work. When we know its stable and wont cause significant issues then it will be available for distribution.
