I shot the bear with dogs in a nasty canyon so had some help getting him out of there. Skinned him out and just the hide with the head attached was around 100lbs, about killed me getting him out. Quartered him up and off to the butch and taxidermist. Bear deep pit and salami. Having a wall mount rug made out of him should get it back in about a year. By california law you have to take the meat out, not sure why you would want to kill any kind of big game or alot of small game and not eat it. Don't much care for trophy hunting but love me some bear and deer meat.

Sounds like a good time bogleg...we don't get to hunt doe around here, our deer population is way down, hard hunting in the california desert this time of year. Success rate isn't all that great so we take what we can get. I do guided hog hunts............we got plenty of them around here and there fun to shoot....I'm planning to do the same though take a week off and hunt hard archery before all the idiots get to walking around with there rifles.

What kinda of deer you guys hunt for up there whitetail or mule deer, I hear there's big deer up there?

The california archery season begins Aug 18th..............anyone planning on going!!

Hello everyone.........I am nacho, born and raised in bakersfield ca, work as a heavy equipment mechanic for my local fire department, take care of fire trucks and dozers on wildland fires.

Been playing freeztag with xi for a while now just recently started following on the xi website...plan on being around for awhile, I really enjoy the kind of gaming the xi clan has.

Still working on get a mic and stuff but it's hard to get around with my work schedule, but will in the near future....I would very much like to become a member of xi but know it's a long road before i get that honor. thanks to all the members for being such totally bitchin people and very helpful.
