  1. Server is now up and running again for the moment. I'll be shutting it down by the 25th of August in preparation for a better server for C2.
  2. Still no word on what is going on w/ the server. I've ticketed GS and they responded that they are waiting for the right personnel to look into the problem. I've got another month paid for, but after that I intend to shut that server down. Hopefully (but unlikely) by then we can be looking a C2 beta square in the face.
  3. When I preordered warhead it came almost a week after release...I wasn't willing to wait so I ordered a copy on steam to get me by. I'll be waiting this time to buy it in stores the day of release unless some one can guarantee it will arrive on the day of release.

  6. LOL ...you make it seem as if the rest of us dont screw things up. We are idiots, we are supposed to cause some sort of bug or crashe at least twice before we get it right .
  7. I don't know anybody by that name, of course it could be anybody. I'll look into the spawn killing for that map, although Wizid has it right: it is a "defend your base" map.

  9. I like the idea of this, but I'm not sure how do-able it would be without a client side mod. The basics could be flow graphed but I don't know how you would determine a winner. I think that is why several custom game modes have never been implimented.

  11. Ya lol I was nub on the super jump. When I looked down I wasn't looking all the way down so it wasn't registering.?? Seems punching is fixed...that made the balance much better. But, there might be a slight advantage to the zombies now. Hard to tell after just a game or two, might just be the experience and skill level of the players involved. Regardless it was very playable and very enjoyable at current state. Only thing I noticed now is fall damage.

  13. Cobryis I was thinking about the weapon removal, and I wondered if you think this would work: local player health = 0 -> (inventory)remove all items. I haven't tested it but I thought I'd pass that along to see if you had tried it out. By the way what is the secret to the super jump near a wall or ledge. I'm only able to do it when at a corner of a wall or brush. I agree with the darkness staying, it is hard enough on the zombies as is. People will just have to adjust their settings if off some (like mine was). Good fun though I'll be looking forward to more maps for me to zombie jump around on.

    You guys do realize that soccer "football" is like the....7th most popular sport in America. Not really a big deal over here. On sporting radio they talked about 30 seconds about world cup loss this evening, and about 30 minutes about couple of baseball games.
  15. I enjoyed my playtime earlier, but I'll agree it is a bit dark if your brightness/contrast settings are not right. I had to adjust mine so that I could see more than 5 feet. And the constant removal of weapons from the zombies makes it hard to punch (since there are no fists). I guess that would have to be something server side. That makes the balance lean a bit towards the humans, if the punch was consistent it would balance perfect I think.
  16. I didn't see the knife...it looked like he ripped the alien's throat out. Pretty cool regardless. That is a sweet trailer. The sound effects really gave it an intense feel that fit the action perfectly. Well done on that one Crytek and nice find guys.

  20. I love when the alien jumps off the wall to flank the player in the gameplay video. When I saw that I thought "now thats the kind of AI that I expect from aliens wearing robotic armor". Then I think back to the way the nano suit warriors were used in C1 and Warhead, and I realized that those aliens are going to be more fun to fight than the NK nano suit guys. It looks like Crytek has improved the AI a little.
