  1. Ok just checked out the update for minecraft and i keep getting: disconnected from server internal server error every time i place a block, take something out of the finished crafting block, attack a mob, or dig a block. Anybody else getting this?

    Crysis2

    I'll...pass.
  3. Lol...too bad they didn't put some of the time it took to make that into making sure the mp was as good as advertised
  4. They finished the demo a few days ago...many of us were unimpressed. It is very COD clone and has been consolized quite a bit.
  5. Yes sir if I do remember correctly the version that is on the redirect is a TIA only version, but if you would like an IA version I can go take a look and see if I have that backed up. I will also note that I have a forest map that you might take a look at that was created as a crash site (Pods) mod map but could be used as a hardcore map too if it was converted. Let me know if you'd like to give it a try.
  6. Just looked and there were two servers up lol...not sure how long they will be up though.

    Crysis

Yea I thought they had fixed that with a patch but it seems certain systems still get it...as does mine. One thing I would recommend that seems to fix it sometimes is to press alt + enter to exit full screen, then press alt + enter to bring back full screen. That seems to help for me.
  8. More good news: http://twitter.com/kolgahq/status/45857655973101568
  9. Not sure that server modding and map tools are enough to fix this game for me...but that would surely help.
  10. Not looking to waste my money on it just yet...I'm having a hard time figuring out how this game is better than crysis 1 and crysis wars or cod4. I already have all of those so why get something worse?
  11. Those fov and zoom adjustments are a must but it still feels a bit off for me...i'll still play it i guess but I'm just dissapointed in the gameplay feel compared to what it could have been if they just improved wars with the new additions and left the suit and flow of the game in tact. Having said that it does seem fairly well balanced at this point. Camping is not great, but not horrible. However we are not including all the noobs yet with the demo, mostly us true gamers. It definitely encourages camping more than wars simply because you die every time you try to move from one area to the other unless you are just quicker at aiming down the sights and switching to armor than the person attacking you. But even the armor mode is not that great, you can have full armor but still die because your health is low...the armor should absorb most if not all of the damage and then start on the health like in wars or else it is not worth switching to. I guess I'm a nit picker as I study every tactical, skill based, and gameplay technique in the game...rather than just play it purely to have fun. I am looking for a virtual chess match...balanced, where each piece makes sense, but there are several ways to win based on what your opponent does. That is how I enjoy shooters and if a piece doesn't make sense or isn't balanced or just causes simplistic bad gameplay I just get frustrated with it. But I guess I'll just have to deal because it won't change much from now to release...and from past experiences with crytek it will only get worse with patches.
  12. Ray I don't have a problem with the rankings and all, that part is an improvement. The movements have a different "feel" that I can't describe, and it feels just like COD to me. It feels very clunky, and even the way the characters turn and move looks and feels like Cod instead of the fluid movements of crysis. I also have a problem with aiming down sights at 10 feet being better than hip firing. This is retarded for gameplay and for realism. It should be closer to 25 feet.
  13. I'm more with sabreeyes...I've played for hours and it is fun...but not as good as crysis wars. It feels much more like cod than crysis in gameplay, which is fine, but very different. I've never been a fan of aiming down sights because it forces you to stop moving. Also it seems like you slow down when u are shot for some reason...wtf? I would be happier if everything felt a little faster and more fluid...everything feels very jerky and it makes me dizzy. Cod5 felt like that to me...yet Cod4 does not as much. Either way I'll keep playing it for now because wars is dead and i'm bored with it anyway...at least this is a new challenge. I have yet to locate firing from the hip module...I heard it was included but i've only seen the one that improves sight aiming. It better be in the final release...supposedly a laser in there too.
  14. Cod clone I suppose it is fun but it is no crysis for me.
  15. Oh snap...for me it is not just wedding stuff but I also have been grafting maples for weeks...I need to do about 500 of them this year and it takes about 5 to 10 minutes per tree...and all this is in my time off from work. I'm about half way right now and have been working for 3 weeks on it
  16. I still have alot of work to do hope I get to play some :/
  17. This will be good timing...I'll be almost done with my heavy overtime work for a little while so I should be able to get in some play time...but then things will get crazy busy again for all of april and may :/.
  18. I would say support for jr is more based on who his dad was as a personality, and some of that personality rubbed off on jr but not all of it by any means. Most other drivers are deuche bags and I'd rather pull for the son of the greatest than a skilled driver who is a deuche any day, even if he never wins a race. Having said that I don't care for many of the newer tracks or the new car nearly as much as the older stuff. It seems like about half of the tracks are all the same and the racing on them is sub par. And the car has gotten way to far from a street car (which is what made nascar appealing for me). There used to be a feeling that you could fix up your car and carry it over to the track and have a chance of competing with the big boys (even as far fetched as it was). Now days they may as well be racing rocket ships.
  19. nice tutorial style video there...much better than most
  20. Thanks guys...will be working on my day off, but what the heck it could be worse .
  21. Yes, that's right. I will be following up my Crysis Wars lessons with a Crysis 2 class in the upcoming weeks. I have already started transferring parts of my class format over for the new info as it comes to me. This first course will center around the basics of the game as some of us transition from Crysis Wars or COD to C2. Hopefully I will be able to squeeze some time into the demo (if it ever gets here ) to get the inside track so I can have some of the info up before release. If possible I'd like to make this thread available only to registered members (not sure if we can do that) to keep the un-contributing leaches from stealing the work. Stayed tuned!
  22. I'll still be on low probably But maybe by the end of summer I can start building my new rig
  23. Two more videos from the same guy: More of the same stuff basically, but I did notice the potential for sliding around corners does seem to increase speed slightly (which is double plus for me since I'm accustomed to strafing around corners to increase speed). A few observations so far in terms of gameplay: There seems to be a significant increase in tactical depth, and tactics seem to be more important to be successful compared to crysis wars and other fps in general for that matter. There seems to be a slight decrease in skill depth, and skill seems to be less important to be successful compared to crysis wars but maybe more important than some other fps (ie cod). It is too early to tell, but it seems that the suit modes are well balanced and the modules shown so far add more depth to the gameplay (ie the projection decoy)...lets hope crytek is still open to balancing several months after release. A couple of things I am still concerned about: The power jump and sprint still worries me. I'm not sure I like having a delay on a power jump, but as long as it isn't too long it could make more sense to have to "charge" up a power jump. I don't know if I like having walk or speed sprint...I like having walk, sprint, and speed sprint. Also I think the speed sprint is a bit too slow considering many fps like counter strike already run at that speed...the nanosuit is supposed to make you sprint even faster. I'm not sure how it will feel but if you are sprinting and you power jump you should continue on with the same momentum of the sprint and jump at a 45 degree angle, rather than vertically. This is an issue I have with Wars too but I had hoped that they would have addressed it by now . The pull up maneuver worries me because it appears that you might pull up unintentionally...which would be irritating if you are jumping near a ledge and you climb up accidentally. Melee could be overpowered but surely they will patch that if necessary. Air strikes still make me worried, hopefully you can disable that feature server side. At least they seem less problematic than cod.
  24. Ok now this video has got me a bit excited. R1pper off of incrysis posted this and it got my spirits back up about crysis...if you can do this much on a console then I think pc will be fine. The ending is very cool where he uses the decoy, cloaks, then stomps for a double kill. It is definitely different from wars but I think I will enjoy it.
  25. Boo! This time of year stresses me out...don't have much time to play. Will have to put in some overtime this week to slip in and own you guys
