so i havent been on lately and killing alot of you guys cuz next month i graduate and i ahve been preparing for my FAA exam that i have to take after i graduate. between that and trying (its hard for me) to save up the 1100 i need to take the test my day has been busy. but i at least log on here. if any of you guys wanna go to my graduation just let me know its in dallas so if u can make it then good. well see ya'll on the killing field.... eventually

so i installed everything patched and downloaded mods... try connecting to the area 51 server and i get an error saying something about an corrupt file or something wii.iwd

well after reviewing and checking some things out im actually gonna go 2 ati 5870s and crossfire them... now i just gotta finish designing the case im putting them in and the water cooling system (pain in the ass).

ya gigabyte is good too. i have one. asus stops making theirs earlier than most.

ive actually seen the ati cards faster than nvidia in the games ive played. but the lowest ati card ive had is my current an ati 4870

kk i was leaning more towards it mostly cuz the 480 has alot of heat disipation issues... 100 with air cooling when its cutoff is 105 and 68 with liquid... thats kinda hot for liquid

which would you guys say is the best. i know the 5970 is 2 gpus on 1 card while the gtx480 is a single gpu but which would you say in sli would prove to be the best overall performance?

i need more info... like what form factor u need, what memory compatibility u want (ddr2 or ddr3) and that kind of stuff but what i can tell you now is that asus doesnt make any with onboard ati vga under 75 and for that socket type. mostly its intel vga and the occasional nvidia.
