in March i spent $951.00 (Newegg) for Gigabyte MB GX58A..Win 7, i7 930, Corsair memory 6 gigs, Logitech G500 mouse (my sidewinder crapped out on me) coolermaster Hyper 212plus cooler..I used my Silverstone case /650 Pwr Supply. 350 WD HD which I had got earlier .I try to buy quality stuff that way it lasts longer for upgrades..

there are websites that will give you step by step on wiping and formating the HD.. my favs are: Maximum PC.. and Extreme Tech. do a search for the subject..hope this helps...formating the HD isnt hard you just have to know the steps..when installing the OS, drivers ect.

Id go with the ATI 5970, otherwise its the 5850. make sure you have a good quality PWR supply 700 watts for a single card and 900 for duel..thats min..a good dual core will run it ok..
