my mb takes a CR2032, i got mine at walmart. MB ASUS Maximus V1 HERO. the battery is about the size of a nickel. I just went through the same problem bought a new power supply (EVGA 650) and Battery. working fine now.

within the last few days my pc time and date will not keep the right time or date after adjusting it. did a little research one suggestion was to change out CMOS battery . but what i did was take the battery out put it back in, Now its keeping time and date.. so far.. if it happens again ill change the battery and go from there.

Here is a shot in the dark..check your outlet to see if it has the correct voltage. in my case its 120 volts.
