Just to add, you can take John down with a Chopper and him flying a plane, took me 2 goes but if you line him up when he attacks you and then just let loose with your missiles he will crash land, now done about two thirds of this game in 20 hours playing time, thought it would have been a bit harder to be honest, took me about 200 hours to finish Ghost Recon Wildlands but to be fair it is a much much bigger game with loads more stuff to do and the missions are much harder than this.

Just killed Jacob and took his region in the Whitetail mountains, virtually took Johns region in Holland Valley but it looks like i am going to struggle to kill John as you have to fly a plane and take him on in ariel combat, i have to work 4 buttons with one hand to try and fly the plane and use the mouse to shoot with my other hand, the slightest touch on the key makes the plane either plunge towards the ground or straight up into the air, when you turn left or right it also starts to go down at the same time, wish i could get a 3rd person view but i still think it would be hard, might have to get my Xbox controller out if the game allows for it, could never fly planes very good in any of the Battlefield games either, i have just bought myself an attack Helicopter (now Helicopters are a different story) i am going to see if i can get across to Holland valley and try to bring Johns plane down with that, the game probably won't let me do that but i will give it ago later.
