How many icons or folder you have on your desktop? also reduce the number of BHO (browser helper objects or toolbars) you have. The windows environ allows 512k for mapping such obects. After that it has to reload every object over and over. Do you have a custom rig? Might be a bad memory stick. Pull one and check the other. BE SURE TO GROUND YOURSELF AGAINST THE CASE! Or run memtest from majorgeeks.com. Could also be swap file limitations.

This is for anyone who is going to start a rig. Set yourself a budget. Try to stay in it and don't forget shipping. I net-shopped for a month and after all was done, got it all from new egg. Figure out what games you want to play (this years or next years) along with the OS (XP, VIsta, 7). When choosing a MoBo and memory, choose one that uses 2,4, 0r 6 gigs. Don't get one that uses three. You'll get a loss of performance.

Hey guys, I've been trying to get on vent (v3.0.5) but keep getting a message that says anable to resolve host name. I'm using: www.xtremeidiots.com as host name but have tried others like xi server 8.9.3.119 and 4345 When I enter crappy as the password after hitting the arrow button (next to server input box) then ok, it changes to an 8 digit password. This causes me to not be able to connect to the server when I hit connect. I cannot get a game listing in the window. Any ideas as how to fix it? Got it sorted guys. Had the IP and host name switched. Did a search before I posted but it didn't hit with vent or ventrilo. Just happened to think of FAQ's.....................duh..............

Gotr it going guys. Had to delete the old fav, map, and XImod. Rebooted and d/l'd fine. Apparently I got a bad dl first go-round. Very cool mod.

Here's a good one. Yoda can't get the Star Wars mod. 66.55.174.74:28960 like the home page says doesn't work and 66.55.142.74:28960 won't either. When I type the IP in favorites, it keeps changing from 28930 back to port 28960. I'm running v1.7.568 COD4 from a valid disk with valid XP Pro as my OS. Is the port 28960 or 28930, and how do I get COD4 to recognize it? I don't have a problem with any of your other servers. Please help.............
