Well, despite all my attempts to stay true to the Maize and Blue of Michigan, I think I can honestly say today I am totally embarrassed by the product put out on the field in the Gator Bowl.

Mississippi State showed that the Michigan defense could not stop 11 little old ladies with a football if they played them

Please God let the AD at U of M grow the balls to fire the most worthless coach Michigan has had since the pre-Schembechler days and get Jim Harbaugh hired.

BTW I said "State of Michigan fail" because it seems Michigan State didn't bother to show up against Alabama and got taken to class by the Tide (how MSU got to be #9 in the polls escapes me)

I am even to the point (almost) of hoping Ohio State does well just so we can at least have a couple of winners from the so-called Big-10

Well done Alabama and Mississippi State - wish we could have  put up some fight instead of rolling over and playing dead almost from the first whistle

I watched the MSU vs Alabama blowout and as a former michigander I can say I was totally disappointed...At least U of M gave some fight...I used to think the big 10 could hold their own against the other conferences but the SEC is kickin their ass...SmileSmile

Yeah, the sad part for Michigan is an interesting statistic as Rodriquez says they are improving, but his defense has got worse every year as he has basically ignored it to concentrate on the offense

OFFENSE(pts) DEFENSE (pts allowed)

2010 34.3 33.8

2009 29.5 27.5

2008 20.3 28.9

Sorry Nick, but this 'ole Bama boy loved every minute of the ass whooopin that we put on the Big Ten Co-champions. It was almost surreal when I saw Saban getting pissed on the sidelines because his 4th string tailback took a handoff, ran straight ahead into the MSU D-line, and turned it into a 67 yard run into the endzone to push the score up to 48. Poor kid was just doing what he was taught to do.

It just goes to show ya that there is no real science to the rankings in the FBS. I think they are 'ballpark' at best. I'd like to get to braggin' real good on the SEC in general, but damn South Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee keep me from talking too loud at this point. Laughing

I don't mind losing to a better, or more prepared team but both games were an embarrassment. The entire big-10 has blown this year in the bowls. We were 0-5 yesterday for a total record of 2-5, with only Ohio State to go

That bunch of crooks at OSU will most likely keep it close, but Arkansas will, I think, beat them in the end (mixed emotions there - I want the Big-10 to 'represent' but always love it when OSU loses)

I just wish we had been competitive at least. I high school team would have beaten us yesterday.

I still support my team, I am just disappointed and embarrassed with their lack of performance

No one can call me a quitter - I have been a Detroit Lions fan for 20 years through the bad years and the worse years - LOL

The last time the Lions won 4 in a row, gas was about $1.20 a gallon (1999 I believe it was, the year Sanders quit on us)
