May 15th I will undergo yet another operation on my left knee to try and get me able to walk right. On 4-11-11 I blew my knee out at work. Since then I haven't been able to work or walk. I've had 3 operations on my knee so far and I was getting better until I started having more pain and instability again. After having my 3rd MRI my new doctor tells me that my repaired ACL repair has failed again. So my new doctor tells me that I will have to have 1 operation (may 15) to remove screws and pins and to perform a bone graft then wait another few months and have another ACL replacement. This being a workers comp claim everything is going extremely slow. Guess they need time to run the numbers on paying to fix me or to try and pay me off. Well anyway I just wanted to vent on here so here goes. WTF!!!! How many F#@kin times do I need to get operated on to fix my knee so I can get my job back.? I know there are many more people out there with way worse problems than me. I'm just sick of it all. Operation....pain pills... rehab...pain pills....more operations....pain pills....more rehab...pain pills....whats next liver and kidney failure. One doctor told me that the failure rate for an ACL replacement was less than 8 percent. Well I had back to back failures. So does that make me a failure????? Or just and Idiot for going back to the same doctor. Well enough of my rant. Sick and tired of being sick and tired. Hope to be back on at least 1 foot soon. Twinkie Awards

Going under the knife is never good and considering the luck you have had it's much worse. Rehab alone can be a bitch. All that aside try not to give up and I firmly believe a good attitude will help with the rehab. Wishing you all the best and hoping they get it right this time so we never have to see a post like the one above again. From the business / union side with workmens comp ypu sometimes have to first use the doctors specified by the company until they fail to perform adequately. I hope you got the best surgeon you can find working that knife. Some people may not understand or know that you can screw up a workmens comp claim by going to your own doctors for care without prior proper approvals. Edited May 9, 2012 by Shamu
