First thing that comes to mind is the Aurora theater massacre. Second thing is when you see this state in the great out doors you see the glory of nature at its finest from the desserts to the Rocky Mountain high! Something many people don't realize is that the eastern half of Colorado is flat as a pancake and they get a lot of tornadoes just like Kansas. You don't see the Rockies until you're in Denver in the west. I flew into Denver a couple years ago and had to drive about 5 hours east and it was some of the flattest country I've ever seen. Awards

I grew up in the SW corner down by a small town called Cortez and we just never seen things like this. I heard that there was one about thirty yrs before when I was about 15 yrs old but never ever saw one. Awards
