I bought a used ASUS Core Duo 2 Laptop the other day for $100 so I could play with Windows 10 and thus far I like it. 10 is still in Tech review but I doubt it will change much to the final release.

I didn't need to use any outside drivers as everything worked during the a clean install except it did not put the 3D NVidia GeForce G210M drivers for the video card but it did put 2D Intel drives since it has two video cards. All else works and works fine and should for this old of a laptop... 2010.

It seem a minimum amount of RAM for 10 should be 3GB. My laptop has 4GB and it seems happy about that and it runs fast. Startup and shutdown are quite fast as well. Faster than when Windows 7 was on it.

The biggest improvement is the start menu. You are not stuck in tile mode and you can expand it when needed. Still a pain to find Computer and Control Panel so I just made shortcuts on the desktop.

One cosmetic thing I noticed is when you have a program open and it shows on the Task bar... you get an underlined icon rather the entire icon being highlighted. Not sure why but it will help identify which OS is which.

Here are a few screen shots of the start menu and task manager for anyone curious like I was. I still prefer Windows 7 but this could grow on me and I wont get pissed off having to use it like I do in Windows 8.

Have anything you want to see.... let me know I will do my best to show you.
