 Cutting Cable   3 easy steps

1. Get an Antenna...

HD ATTIC ANTENNA
Channel Master 4228HD
Long-range outdoor rooftop HDTV antenna..... As for splitter for antenna, how many splits are you going to need? Antenna.org will give you the local info you need to buy and mount your antenna...

Are you getting them network turners? Get a splitter:  get a 3 way splitter that is  balanced.

Keep in mind if you use a network tuner and a media center PC you don't have to hook the TV to the antenna.

Other TV's could also stream remotely if they are SMART TV's with DLNA

Also watchtvseries will give you a schedule.. Or the new windows 10 will, and have a dvr.

I personally got http://www.amazon.co... master antenna and it's been good with a 3-way splitter. If I added anymore splits I might have to get an amp for it but i'm good as is.

I think the one you posted would give a little more signal levels, but you pay for that in increased size. It just depends how far you are form everything and where you put. I put mine in attack at corner of house facing the main signals and get 81-98% signal but am only about 38 miles away from them. I didn't want outside (though would get even better signal) as didn't want to put holes in roof or worry about weather/wind issues etc.

2. For the internet gear you first have to decide:

Do you want an all-in one modem/router combo

or

Stand alone cable modem

Stand alone router

An all-in-one will probably be cheaper but the stand alones are generally better and last longer, especially if something goes bad you only have to replace/upgrade that one thing.

As for modems.

I would get the Netgear CM500 (it comes out in a few weeks).

The other alternative would be SB6183 or D3CM1604

They are all 3 16x4 channel modems so very future proof.

The SB6183 is more expensive and has nothing additional to offer over the CM500.

The D3CM1604 is made by SMC and they don't have the best modems honestly.

3. Call and Cancel Comcast Cable. Hopefully when you select cancel services, they will direct you to Customer Retention and you can Cancel Cable, and Just get "Internet plus" which will give you non hd cable, HBO to go, and High speed cable, You may also want blast. This should be under 60 bucks. 100 meg down 10 mbps up.. after 13 months call and get Promo again. Consider Google voice app for home phone number if you had triple play...Cable internet and phone. Get home phone number switched before you cancel.    Thanks to Murda XI...
