Howdy all, I'm currently in the process of thinking through an upgrade. I originally had a computer built for me by a local guy as I don't know a lot about it but am thinking about venturing into this upgrade myself. I would like to move up to possibly a quad core if not 6 core machine to help with my work (graphics design) as well as better gaming. I realize that my graphics card is a little dated and I will be upgrading that next but the CPU is the main concern right now as it really struggles with my larger files. Below are my computer's vitals...from what I can tell, my motherboard will allow an upgrade to quad or six core cpu's but I wanted advice on where to start. 1. Is this correct, can I upgrade the cpu without any issues? 2. Where should I start, what should I look at and how much should I spend (budget is an issue, I'd like to stay at $300 or under total). 3. Would it be worth it to simply upgrade to a less expensive quad core and do a video card at the same time rather than go straight to a six core (if even possible)? 4. Do I have enough memory for my system or should that be something I upgrade as well? I trust all of you guys and I know that you all are way smarter with computers than I am so I welcome any advice!!! Thanks, Flushy

I don't have a problem with car being at 3, necessarily, but what does need to happen is the killstreaks need to continue after you use one rather than resetting. I've found myself skipping the RC car sometimes to get the airstrike or whatever. Also, to answer your question from earlier, I was one short of the mininuke yesterday and Belle ruined it all by killing me. So NO, it's her fault that we still haven't seen a nuke.

This morning we ran into an issue on PSYCHO map. Between rounds, everyone got a "file sum/name mismatch" error that kicked everyone...just a heads up Rugger. Thanks! Flushy

In my post a couple of weeks ago, I could not have been more wrong...this season, the only two teams that even look or act like they want to be national champs are LSU/Bama. Beyond that, it is a mess. Although I still want to see a really high powered offense against one of these two defenses, it's blatantly obvious that these teams can't play defense worth anything so the game most likely wouldn't even be close. Congrats for having the best two teams in football right now and the best conference! Flushy

One more thing that just happened...we were on the Blubarn or whatever map has the huge house in the middle of it. I got a care package with a chopper and when I used it, I got kicked and it said "turret has no bones: Tag player".

The server just crashed again...hopefully the crashes and CI's get fixed soon. I also agree that the killstreaks shouldn't reset after you use one...I find myself now skipping over the lower killstreaks just to get the airstrike or whatever since you can do more damage.

There are always those dipshits out there who will do whatever they can to get a leg up...we still have them on COD4, they are just the morons who turn down their graphics all of the way so they can see through bushes and foliage. If everyone played the game as it was supposed to be played, half of those idiots wouldn't ever score a point. Very funny though, they spend $50 to $60 on a brand new game, cheat and then can't play on any servers worth a shit! LOL

Canada is definitely in a lot better situation than the US is...Congrats! If this doesn't prove that money doesn't buy respect what does? We (the US) shell out fucking billions to every country in the world that asks for it and we're still a laughing stock because of our gov't. Unreal... Crimson...I'm a Husker so not much contention for a title recently. We were really good back when I was at school there winning a few titles but since then, we've struggled finding the right coach and players. I hope Bo is the right man for the job but he's not making it easy on himself so far! LOL, our fan base is nuts and one loss people are calling for his head so you can imagine all of the talk after last weekend's loss! I was a Big8/Big12 guy forever and now I guess by default I'm a Big 10 guy which at the moment has more scandals going on than the New York Stock Exchange! I won't be bragging about my conference this year, that's for sure!!!

No worries...I don't take anything like this personally. You are right on the stripes quote, I can't even get that right lol. I am a Nebraska fan and we are pretty nuts up here too. I had a pretty hard time converting from B12 to B10 but once the evil that is Texas started giving out ultimatums, I was happy to get the hell out of dodge. Luckily, we joined a conference with such stability. LOL Eventually, we're going to have 4 major conferences and nobody else anyways so I guess we'll see where everything ends up. You guys did land good teams in OU and A&M, probably my two favorite schools to play when we were in the B12. Great tradition and I love OU...we've had so many good battles with them. I am a college football fan and watch as much as possible, all teams and conferences. I'm very impressed with both LSU and Bama's defenses but I don't think their offenses are THAT good. I watched this game as well as PSU/Bama and LSU/Oregon and see holes in both teams. I think it would be fun to watch either of them play OSU or Stanford (honestly, I can't count Boise as they haven't proven anything as usual being in a high school conference). A true offense vs. defense battle. Trust me, I'd love to be back in national relevance as a team but we keep choking on our own shoes anytime we get close. We were up to 9th last week and then lose to a shitty Northwestern team. UGH I do have some experience in the National Title discussing as I was in college for 3 out of Nebraska's 5 championships but that was so long ago, I've totally forgotten what it feels like at this point. The year we get into a new conference, it turns into a complete cluster fuck and everyone beats everyone else. How about we end this with me admitting that the SEC is the most solid conference this year, no doubt, but with my asterisk being that I think they are both beatable by a team with a multiple-faceted offense (not just ground or passing games).
