    I dont quite get you shamu this was a monster storm and just cause you didn't get hit directly its another hyped storm ? First off its mother nature and she will go where ever she wants there is no way a mortal man can say where she will strike so they throw a broad area down to be prepared.     I don't disagree about the news people but this one has already taken 43 lives and has gained strength since then. Shamu seems to me like you have issues with wealthy people and its not only the coast that is going to get hammered by this storm. New York city is shut down the subways are closed.Washington is shut down. My area will be in this from today until late Friday as it is going around us and always on the right side which is the worst I have a generator but only enough fuel to carry me a few days.     OK so here is the back story i found on the internet about this. A couple friends got together and all decided to drop some acid and next thing you know one went into a closet and started talking to himself and they recorded it. Then they decided to animate it with a gecko.

    When we go to the canyons (120 miles offshore) we take the 47 ocean sport fish we also fish around hurricanes with the big boat 30 to 50 foo waves are not uncommon but the fishing is just unreal

    we have a portable Epirb not that that will do any good if your in trouble in small or big there is no one there to help this 20 footer has plenty of fuel 70+ gallon tank and this is not our first rodeo i have been fishing on the ocean my whole life and i have allways been very safety oriented. Trust me we were in no danger but thank you for your concern

    East coast, Anything 8 foot and 2 to 300 lbs is going to fight like hell. My understanding is you cant eat these sharks if you could i would have some franks hot sauce right on that sucker. They are a nuisance when your fishing for Blue fin tuna. Yes bob all the time we were about 40 miles offshore in a 20 foot boat

    was trying to chum up some blue fin tuna but all we could bring in was 8 foot blue dogs (sharks)
