You cant go wrong with either IMO, The top has 6 cores @ 3ghz, has a better video card and room for another, as well as 8gb ram. THe bottom has a nice i7, less memory , a better powersupply wattage wise and 2 lower quality video cards. Whats the price difference?

Man the 580's are pricey enough for one, but 2! ...lol I have considered upgrading to Windows 7 64 bit, just waiting for the bugs to be fixed, I have it on my sons computer I built, seems to like it.

I always have CCC driver issues when I had ATI cards, as recent as this past summer..

I play BO and WaW with my dual SLI 9800gt's on 1920x1080 on high, runs pretty decent. Tho I turn off AA. Each 9800Gt has bandwith at 57 GB/s, the 570 is 152GB/s..even in SLI my 9800GT arent even close to one of these cards. I would love the GTX580 but to pricey for me. Ill admit, ATI has some very nice cards for the money, but Ive had several issues with ATi in the past, mostly Catalyst Driver issues...I can honestly say that I havent had any issues since going with Nvidia, seem like they update the drivers frequently for performance boosts. Performance wise the 5870 and the 570 go back and forth in their respective categories for performance. THe 5870 is about 49 bucks cheaper at the momment, but the 570 seems to be where im heading.

Im thinking about upgrading my SLI Nvidia 9800 GT's to 1 GTX 570, Is anyone using one of these cards and how do you like it if you do have one. Thanks. $350 is as high as I wanna pay, and not a fanboy of ATI, bad experience with ATI.

It has a 64amp rail on the +12dc rail. That seems good. Not sure about the reliablility of that make Power supply, I dont hear much about Cyber Power PS's. Im sure when Nvidia gets working on new drivers for the card ,you will see a jump in the performance over the ATI 5970

All kidding aside, make sure your power supply has a sufficient +12volt amp rail system. 55+amps or better would be nice.

All I know is that you need a dedicated 220v outlet at your computer for that card and a liquid nitrogen cooling system. Hope that helps?

This may have been touched on recently, but I wanted to bring it back up. I was still having issues finding servers as of yesterday. My favourites wouldnt save and unranked servers were non existent. I know we touched on this abit, about veriifying the game cache integrity. Well this is on line with that. You will first need to go into your ProgramFiles>Find Steam> Then Steamapps>Common>Blackops>player Inside of player you will see your 2 cfg files mp_config.cfg and the single player cfg. Delete both cfg files. Now , open up steam, right click on Black ops, properties, now go verify your game cache integrity. That seemed to help me, you may need to retweak any changes you may have made such as having multicpus , etc...
