In game if you type /pb_cvarlist it will pull up all the cvars that are checked and their allowed values. For what its worth, I did start a discussion on possible standardiziation of the config but there wasn't much we could do about client side settings.

I am sorry I was in a bad state, something happened in my personal state of affairs. I didn't mean to lash out like that. I was trying to make a point that if someone has a smoother game by customizing their settings then there is no harm in it. While there may be many reasons to tweak the game config, one of the outstanding one is to get a consistent frame rate. It makes a big difference in how fluid everything becomes. A faster powerful graphics card is used for that very reason, smoother game. If that doesn't suffice people tweak things here and there. No it does not give you magical powers just makes the game run smooth, with less screen lag and stuttering.

eerggggh, I get it you don't customize your game settings or whatever, no one has to do it as you don't really get any real or effective advantages. Ignorance doesn't make a smart player either. Every time I point out something about settings someone feels the need to boast how they just go with stock settings. Well, good for you. Customizing your game settings does NOT dishonest/dishonorable player a make. I bought my car with stock settings and I take it to the dealership for service. Just think about that for a minute.

Well, the suggestion was to try to find out what I mean not to employ it as a tactic. It's not that easy, takes a certain amount of co-ordination. There is a fine line between advantage and utilizing what the mod offers you. When you're behind enemy spawn things can change in a split second that's when this matters most.

You can shoot fast when coming out of spawn protection. The person you're shooting doesn't stand a chance unless they're already shooting. You suddenly appear already shooting at them. There is nothing wrong with this, except if you use a bind to assist you, you never can screw this up. Therefore, it takes away the human element. I double tap wep switch and it's fine for me but sometimes I mess up and this gives the other person the opportunity to shoot me. I consider that fair, using a keybind it wouldn't be. Try it out, you will know what I mean.

@@Greasy bind 3 "Weapnext; wait 2; weapnext" - Please dont' use this, instead double tap your wep switch key. Putting it in a bind takes out the human factor and the enemy doesn't stand a chance. More to the point anyone can do the double tap without modifying their config but putting a keybind takes away the skill element.

I have bind for enabling disabling voice chat. /toggle cl_voice or alternatively /cl_voice 0 to disable & 1 for enabling. Then again I have a speaker setup I am not too bothered by voice chat itself only if its habitual non-sense (guilty as well).

With efficient routing you may be able to scrape off a few milliseconds but there is nothing you can do about the time it takes for you data to go another continent and back. I live in California and the best ping I can get to the east coast is 84 ms, well around low 80s. So.... yeah!

@@Poseidon When I am in the mood for silly fun, I run around with shotty and bazooka. Using them requires a lot quicker response time, and anticipatory action. I do it when I want to be challenged, it's harder to maintain a positive KDR.

Those are all true depending on the game, I cant say I agree for COD, maybe BF series because it requires strategy. I suppose H2E is the only skill to be gained.

The universal truth is there will always be someone younger, faster, smarter and even better looking than you. Shunning them out or to make them keep their abilities at the lowest so the oldies feel relevant is not the progressive approach. Agility and adaptation to change is the right thing to do.

That's not what he is talking about. Raptr offers an option to optimize game settings for you based on the graphics card you have so you can get the "best" experience. It always messes it up for me, it has nothing to do with getting an advantage.

I know what GG and Angus are talking about when they say not fun to play. I just started playing Air Superiority in BF4 and there are some people who have 111/12 KDr while I am at 1/19. They just rape you over and over again, at some point you ask yourself why even bother. Those guys are just that good, and it means I need to learn to be better by that much. I am working on it, and it takes significant effort to be better, I do call them names like 'you turd" or u "little penis" but never once have I told them to leave the server because its not fun for me. My point being, yes I get it but its unfair to ask someone to leave just because they are better at it.

My predator doesn't get thru trees, I increase the DPI of my mouse when I launch the predator and then navigate it around the trees.

Don't let Raptr optimize COD4 for you, ignore the optimizer. It doesn't know how to handle the old games. In fact, I hardly use the optimizer for any of the games. If I do, I choose performance. I have the same card R9 270x 2GB.
