hmmm. I have read that the card can run warm but seems the heat may not be optimally dissipating off the heatsink. How long have you had the card? You can hear the fan on the card running when you speed it up right? Just asking to cover the bases.

Hey baldie, do you have a program like EVGA precision installed so that you can manually adjust the cards fan speed? When I game, I manually set the speed higher. By default, the card is supposed to adjust speed vs temps but I prefer to set it and forget.

That is a bit warm and if the temps continue to climb, that could be your issue as the PC would blue screen and shut down to protect itself. Running those high temps will shorten your cards life span. What video card do you have? My last card's stock heatsink and fan was inadequate and as such would get a little warm when put under heavy load so I put on an aftermarket cooler which made a world of difference.

I don't have BF3 myself so I can't say if is a graphics load issue but as far as temps go, you seem to have that covered and are ok. What is your current PSU power? BF3 may be pushing your limits.

Following the numbers X-Ray posted above, your GPU temps are ok and should not cause your computer to lock up and blue screen. I have with my last card, ran with higher GPU temps before putting on a different cooler. I suspect there may be something else going on. Did this just start happening? What are your CPU temps like? Does it lock up on a particular game or any game after about 20 min? How is your power supply? Maybe a power issue.
