  1. 1.16 in my town here in Ontario at the moment but you travel say 20 minutes and it could be 1.26. Funny thing is, when it hits say 1.16, everyone thinks it's a deal and their lining up at the pumps. A year ago, 1.05 was deal. The year before .97 was deal. It's all a mind bend. They raise, then lower it just a bit, then raise it again but above the point where is was last time. It's like conditioning to get you to like and accept paying 1.16 or so when you are not paying 1.25 or more. Big oil companies are greedy and the government loves their free money so this is the way it goes. But that's just my opinion.
  2. You are remixing now or have done that already? Post a link again when you have it tweaked. Would like to hear what you finish with.

  4. Well, as of this Friday, after 17 1/2 years with my current employer, I will be officially unemployed if nothing turns up by then. Will be weird not having to get up first thing in the morning on Monday. Job search continues with a few potentials at the moment so here's hoping one of them pans out.

  16. I switched from AVG, tried Panda Cloud Antivirus, and now I use Microsoft Security Essentials which doesn't seem to be too bad considering is Microsoft and it's free and I also use Malware Bytes which I find to be a trusty tool.

    Hey

Welcome Omar to the forums. Enjoy the servers and have fun.
  18. Ferret I have been using a Nostromo N52 for a couple years. It is a Belkin product, but looks exactly like the G13 above, prolly the same product with a different brand name stuck on it. Anyhoo, I *MUST* have it play now, I love it, I don't see how people can play with a regular keyboard. It doesn't take long to get used to it, and resting your hand (just using your fingers) instead of holding your hand up takes a lot of stress & fatigue off your wrist. Often I hear guys say "gonna take a break, need to rest my hand"....betchya they are using a regualr keyboard. What I do a lot of the time when I play, is turn sideways and kick my feet up on a chair, prop my right elbow up on the desk to mouse with, and pull the keypad into my lap & lean back. Very comfortable. I tore my lower back up a few years ago carrying a 60 pound boat battery up steps, and this is a VERY comfortable-on-the-back way to play. So effectively, I need the keypad for my back..... but it works great & I would highly recommend it to anyone. I also have been using the N52 for a number of years now. Love it. Took some time to get use to it as any controller would. It is definitely a preference thing as some prefer the keyboard but I found my preference with this.
  19. I think the PC and PC component market is too big to fade away and right now. Too many applications in use today need more power capability (graphic/processor, etc) than a tablet can provide. Like I want to game or design in CAD on a 8 or 10" screen. And don't get me started on the cost. Tablets right now are a toy for $600/$700 bucks. One can put a nice PC together for under that. Smart phones and tablets have their uses, but PC replacement is not one of them. That's just my opinion though. Long live the PC.

    PosT :)

Welcome PosT! to our forums and glad you enjoy the servers. See ya around. Have fun.
  21. My board has AMD chipset but my graphics card is nVidia to which I have no problems. I prefer nVidia cards myself over ATI but again, these two makers battle it out and it's all personal preference. They both have good product.
