I may stand corrected but camping always has been allowed on any of our servers with one exception: spawn camping. My style is run and gun for a bit, then camp for a bit in a good spot until it gets old or the kills dry up, then back to running for a bit. Everyone has their own style. There are players who absolutely hate Dean's talent for running and knifing, and players who hate campers. I get a kick out of hunting down campers which isn't difficult because you know where they are - it's an easy kill. We always have had and always will have these debates over style of play but bottom line: to each their own. Live with it. Indeed. People are going to play the way wanna play. That's the way it should be. I mostly run and gun but may camp from time to time based on the map or just the mood I'm in at the time. I hate getting tubed but some maps just beg for tubes so I'll pick one up too and laugh like crazy when I tube someone. Dean, I love your style of play. No one slings a knife like you. And......... I'll double it to 50 cents every time you knife Rat Camper. lol

I removed one of the USB hubs and start moving those devices to the USB ports on the back of the computer. A little trial and error and several restarts later, the computer is booting up without having to unplug stuff and then plug them in after it boots. The scanner is being recognized now too. ​ I still suspect that one of my external hard drives is malfunctioning but I'l get to that later.

I've had a lot going on so I'm just now starting to do some work on my computer. I just "repaired" the USB drivers. Apparently something is wrong with the webcam even though it was working fine a few weeks ago. Maybe New Year's Eve was more fun that I thought? Bama suggested I check to see if there is an update for the Asmedia driver.

This is my favorite thread EVER on this site. With all of the bad in this world, it's so refreshing to see stories like these. There are some truly amazing people in this world. It makes me reflect and realize that there's so much more I should be doing for others. Thank you for sharing and inspiring me.

No error message. It just goes to a blank screen usually and never gets to the log in screen.

I've had a lot going on this week so I haven't been able to work on the computer. The problem actually started before the new keyboard which is one of the reasons I got a new one. One day out of the blue, the computer wouldn't boot up. I contacted Larsin (who is incredibly tech savvy and a genuinely nice fella) and he suggested that it was my keyboard. He explained that I needed to change something in the settings to ignore keyboard errors upon startup. Don't recall exactly what he said but I wrote it down. Bama gave me the disk today for the USB drivers. I'm going to re-install them tomorrow and see what happens. Virus scans have so far come back clean. Thank you all for your suggestions. I'll let ya know how it's going.

Welcome to the forums. So glad you joined us. Nice to see another southern lady playing. Don't worry about looking crazy or stupid. I've been playing for a couple of years now and I still look stupid. Most people are nice and helpful but there's a few ******** out there too. Ignore the bad and listen to the good. In no time at all, you'll probably be kicking some serious butt.

I've got lots of weirdness going on. 1. The computer will not boot up unless I unplug almost all usb devices, including the keyboard. Once the log in screen is up, I have to plug the keyboard in to log in. The keyboard will only operate in the ROG Connect USB port. This is a new keyboard that I bought because I thought the old one was possibly going bad. 2. Computer doesn't recognize my web cam anymore. Yesterday, I went to open the webcam software and it wasn't in my program list. Weird. It used to be there. So I downloaded it again. Still, no web cam is detected even thought it's plugged in. 3. I have a new scanner. It was working fine last week. Now it isn't being seen by the computer either. I went through the troubleshooting steps to no avail. I went to the Control Panel and the scanner isn't showing in the Imaging Devices. What the heck???? 4. I have a USB hub. I thought that it may be the problem. However, even when I unplug devices from the hub and plug them straight into the computer, they still don't work. I'm sure there's other stuff going on but these are the main things for now. Any help is appreciated.
