  1. I'm confused, what is this video trying to portray @BlackRose?
  2. Make sure Steam is running as admin and make sure your Cod WaW exe files (SP and MP) are set to run as admin in the compatibility tab and try to run without compatibility mode and if that doesnt work then try it with Win 7.
  3. Try to go into your Radeon control panel kind of like the nvidia control panel and turn off free sync for your monitor and test from there.
  4. So is your problem only with WAW or are you crashing on the new modern warfare also. I was thinking you were posting about the new cod. To try to fix the WAW black screen try to run both the sp and mp exe in compatibility mode for windows 7 or find your cfg file and reduce the resolution to something lower then increase. If that doesn't work include your specs here included CPU, RAM amount and speed, hard drives, monitor resolution, etc..
  5. https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet-framework/net48 Don't DL the Developer pack. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35 Check for windows updates also. Update any drivers you have, GPU, Chipset, LAN, etc.. Goto your motherboard support page that is where your drivers will be for the motherboard.
  6. No problem @Evil-Monkey it really sucks that the motherboard was the problem I was trying to avoid that option until a last resort because of it being one of the more pricey pieces. I hope you are able to RMA or return the one you have because of that being the issue.
  7. Try to amend your sata cables up 1 slot so if you have 3 cables it would go from 012 to 123. Finally if that doesn’t work you can try to switch out the motherboard.
  8. Well in safe mode your power settings should default to power saver mode which might be the reason why it is stable and during normal boot your machine is pulling too much power from your surge protector which I think is why it is freezing because it is being starved of power. What I would suggest is if you have room try to plug your computers directly into the wall temporarily and see if the problem persists. If it does not and that is the issue then you need to get a heavy duty surge protector or get a different one so you have a surge protector for each PC.
  9. Ok so the surge protector is not the problem I don't think but try to use another if you can and if you still have the issue try to use a spare PSU and see if it persists.
  10. Look on the back of the surge protector and tell me what the rating on that is for amps/watts.
  11. And is it connected to a surge protector or straight into the wall?
  12. What is the rating Silver, Gold, Platinum?
  13. What kind of PSU do you have?
  14. So either your sata cable is loose or not good, you can either reseat the cable or replace it to see if that fixes it. Another thing you could look at is the back of the motherboard near the sata connection lanes to see if there is any cracks and if there is then you would need to replace your mobo.
  15. 3 Things, 1. Verify all drivers are up to date. 2. Goto C:\Windows\Temp and delete all folders/files in that folder. 3. https://www.drivereasy.com/knowledge/solved-windows-10-freezes-locks-up-randomly-easily/ Follow this guide for Option 3 on changing virtual memory. If you are still getting freezes after all of this then open up your computer and make sure all of the connections from your PSU if it is modular and make sure all other connections are securely connected. If it still doesn't work then you will need to make a backup and reinstall windows then restore your files from that backup.
  16. Great that helps a lot actually but I would not worry about the DCOM errors in the future those are actually normal and I have 4-5 in my event viewer now. Like I said if you have any more complete bricks just make a post and we can work out some other options then.
  17. The 600 just means 10 Hours so if you want it set to 24 hours just set it to 1440.
  18. But if you really do think it is then monkey could do a mem check if this happens again.
  19. @ucjohn If there was a RAM error it would blue screen out and he would have a code for it.
  20. That should work. What I think was happening is that the DCOM was not crashing your comp but that power setting was turning off your SSD periodically.
  21. Search Power then goto power & sleep, under related settings hit additional power settings and which ever power plan is selected then select change plan settings and select change advanced power settings, under Hard Disk make sure the turn off hard disk after option is set to 600. See if you have any more freezes after that and if so we can try some other options.
  22. Have you already found the folders for both {2593F8B9-4EAF-457C-B68A-50F6B8EA6B54} and {15C20B67-12E7-4BB6-92BB-7AFF07997402} in the registry and gave yourself perms?
  23. Hmm, can you copy and paste the dcom warning from your event viewer and post it here please?
  24. Is there any other user accounts on your pc?
  25. I get some dcom 10016 warnings but no errors that freeze my PC.
