  1. I don't usually care to look at stats about accuracy. I take many shots at enemies that are 200-300m away. Theres always that chance you get the kill right? I am not saying your accuracy is bad, all I am pointing out is that the amount of interpolation your mouse is doing, vs. what it could do, is significant. These are identical sensitivity settings, just one uses high dpi and low sensitivity (bottom) and the other (top) uses low dpi and high sensitivity. The closest to 0% sensitivity you can get to, the closer to a 1:1 ratio. You are costing yourself all the black dots (dpi) that you see on the bottom but not on the top. If you are at 1800 DPI and 40%, try something like 5000 DPI at 8-15%. It will have the same exact movement as you currently have but you will immediately notice how much smoother it is. So the point is not that you have bad accuracy, you play well, I know this cause I tend to like to hunt you . The point is why limit yourself?
  2. I think that will still be a bit too high for you, based on what you said before. If you are going to 6600 I would try around 1-2%, even if it feels slower at first, youll find aim once your reticle is on the enemy is much easier.

  4. make sure you are always using wired with a mouse in FPS games. Else you are looking at 10-20ms latency just from mouse to pc.
  5. Wow. Now that I started Googling I found a TON of new FXAA injectors for BF4. I will test some of these out. They make the game look so much better.
  6. I highly highly highly recommend the following configuration. This is after 4 years of FPS testing on different DPI/Sensitivity settings. DPI around 5500-6500. 6400 is the sweet spot for me. In game sensitivity 1-3%, mine is at 2%. Windows sensitivity at default ALWAYS! I used to play at 6400 DPI with 6% sensitivity. However after listening to some of the "pros" they said that is way too high. You want to base it all on a 360 turn. So go stand in game and test out a 360 turn. Originally I could do a 360 turn in less than an inch. Now it takes me about 3 inches to do a 360. After disagreeing for weeks to turn down my sensitivity I finally did, and said I would stick with the change for a weekend. Ever since I made that change, my accuracy has gone up almost 3%. Once you get used to moving your mouse more, you will begin to realize that its much easier to aim once your reticle is actually on the enemy. Sure having a higher sensatvity means I can look around faster, turn faster and see easier. But lower sensitivity means once you acquire your target, you have much more control with accuracy. The reason higher DPI and lower sensitivity is better is that when you change sensitivity in game, you are just changing its interpolation. You want none! Keep your Windows mouse settings at default sensitivity. If you change it you will again be interpolating your mouse. Also make sure ANY type of mouse acceleration is turned off. You will never be able to accurately determine how far to move your mouse if the speed of it is different based on how fast you are moving it. It should be consistent every single move. Make sure your mouse polling rate is at 1000Hz. I recommend this program to check your current polling rate. Not all mice have the ability to change this number, but if yours does, set it to 1000. A rate of 1000hz means you have a potential of 0-1 ms of mouse lag added to every frame depending how long after the last mouse poll the frame begins rendering. 500Hz would be 0-5 ms of potential mouse lag. You want as little lag possible from your mouse to the pc. If you use a wireless mouse, just stop playing BF4 now. Lastly, make sure you turn off Origin in Game Overlay. This again adds about a 1-2 ms mouse lag. Do you actually ever use Origin Overlay? Nope. Give all these settings a try. I have written mouse threads before and have had alot of people try these settings with success. ONE LAST THING. Do not just make these changes and then play for an hour to determine if you like it. You need to force yourself to play with them for at least 5-6 hours to truly test them. Yes you will fucking suck at the game. Yes you will die alot. When I went from 6% sensitivity to 2% I dont think I had a positive kdr round for almost 2 days. Now though, I can't image using anything else. Good luck.   7. Ive used many a mice in my life. Especially for FPS. I bought this mouse for 50 bucks on sale, and let it sit around for 4 months. I decided one day to give it a try. It is an unbelievably awesome mouse and will be my mouse of choice from here on out.
  8. It was easy to stop arguing when those in IT say to use 8.1 and those that aren't in IT say to use 7.
  9. I highly recommend ClassicShell - free, light weight. They all have nice features, just happened to be ClassicShell was the first one I tried.

Logitech G700s (best mouse Ive ever own for FPS games BTW) 6400 DPI Sensitivity in Windows in the middle, with acceleration disabled (must have for FPS players) else you will get interpolation and never be consistent. In Game Sensitivity = GstInput.MouseSensitivity 0.004500 or basically 1% if looking at the GUI in game. Left Click - Fire Right Click - Aim/Zoom Middle Click - Grenade - I seldom use this, but if I want to keep moving when throwing, I dont have to take my finger off WASD to hit G. Thats it. Everything else for me is KB or Joystick.

  14. In regards to maps, I agree that took away some time from us. that is why we set 3 of them for the 2 Round. In the future I will use a random map generator and post the maps prior to game day. I will try to setup another scrim for 2-3 weeks from now.
  15. For those of you that played, if you liked what you experienced, I invite you to read along. Sundays scrimmage is just a taste of what WORLD BATL will be like. I will be starting this new "game" in October. If you are interested, I invite you to still sign up here. Instead playing for pts like we did, we will be playing for zones on a real map (see website). Instead of everyone on a team in 1 Teamspeak channel, it will be 1 squad in each channel, with squad leaders able to talk to each other and their own squad as well.   17. Similar to how BATL will run. Once I get it going this fall/winter. Its too difficult to run in the Summer. BATL will be even more coordinated though. Wont have everyone talking, just certain squads and leaders. There will be time spent coordinating and strategizing your attack before the match. But it will be ran the same way essentially. Except instead of each map being a pt, each map will be an entire Zone. Now you guys have a feeling what it will be like. Its not dead btw, just cant run it in the Summer.
