  1. Guys with tents in the desert can be married to several just like her at once. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing.

  2. I guess there is a lot of different ways people describe how many points on a Bucks rack.

Just for shits and giggles here is a 4 point buck Mule Deer ( most Montana hunters use this term)

The brow tines (short points at the base of each antler) Can be counted as a point if they measure longer than 1 1/2"

This buck would be considered a "shooter" if I was hunting or guiding someone else based on the spread of the antlers extending well beyond the tip of his ears and the thickness of the beams. (not to mention one helluva Trophy Buck

But mostly we try and take the non typical deer that have antlers with unusual characteristics like points that point down or unbalanced with 3 points on one side and 4 on the other,  not only are they unique  but it helps to remove these unusual bucks from the gene pool.

    nice .

  3. this past october 5 2014 i was going to my dock to go to work and seen a car weaving here and there in front of me. this was a sunday morning before the sun was up . after a while of this i siad fack it i'm going to pass this guy and while i tried he dam near hit me . he came half way into my lane while i was beside him so i gunned it  and as i looked ahead i now see 2 deer on a driveway on my left . all i thought i just pasted a drunk driver if i hit my brakes he'll back end me . the deer went back in the ditch only to do what they do best  run right back out in front of you .  i  quickly look back  seen the other driver and hit both deer. one went under my van the other along  the driver side of my vehicle. thank god the drunk stopped. i pulled over to finish off the deer , first find it . the drunk  past me and i went back and forth 2 times tring to find this deer that went under .couldn't find it but here comes a car toward me now the same car that drunk. he turns to go home in the same driveway the deer where  standing on ffs really. i went to work couldn't find the deer . as went past the drunks house i seen his car hidden behind his garage. heres my van.5471ee55c1078_deervsvan.jpgfack it i fixed the grill good enough to keep driving spaced the aircondtioning away from my rad pulled the hood back and now i'll put a push bar on it lol. she has hit 3 deer, couple skunks a raccoon, odd bird etc pushin 350,000 km. and runs good.5471f410ab49d_deervsvanfixed.jpgfixed and good enough for me . i used to do body work . might put a grill in it. it's my wildlife hearse, many beaver ,deer ,muskrats, mink, otter etc had their first and last ride in this van . i trap, fish ,hunt , 1 year no one could fill their tags but i got their deer for them 13 i shot in 1 season for the guys.

  4. That's a nice buck.

I see mostly Mule Deer in this part of Montana but haven't seen as many this year . . yet . . .  .. The season is almost over and the big boys will be showing up.

They passed a new law here in Montana that if you hit a Deer you can pick it up and go buy a tag and keep it. I'm not sure if its a good thing because it makes it easier for poachers on the other hand good Deer meat (as long as you don't drive a big truck) won't go to waste

here in Manitoba it's against the law if you shoot a mule deer . thats if you ever see one. i have yet to see one . think there is some in the western part of our province.
