  13. if a laptop remove battery and use power brick Roody its helpful if we know your OS / hardware etc laptop, tower, brand model of computer or motherboard and Rev # of it. if an older unit, microcode needs updating this why i ask for info to see if your are current with drivers
  14. check CPU cooling fan and get some thermal paste to refresh heatsink mount also update motherboard drivers Note: never spin cooling fans with canned air, if do say goodbye to a working system for fan becomes a generator an will produce over 50volts when MB is 12volt, if like to spin them just remove fan power connection to MB or hold fan from spinning
  15. yeah and old socket cmos chips with window to flash new data by flashlight, if had 2 same motherboards would use working MB to reflash a bad flash by booting good one and remove cmos chip an place bad one in socket and reprogram it. today thier soldered on MB have to get a new programed chip and resolder on MB

  18. issue is his MB not reconize drive size need to update bios. To: other people make sure you know your Rev of MB before any updating and know dos commands and have file on flash drive formatted to 16/32bit Note on Rev: lets say MB manufacture made model# zx389 MB Rev.1 and had issues but kept same model# and changed to Rev.2 means they had issues with a ford hardware Rev.1 then switch to a chevy hardware with Rev.2 So if you got them mixed up after update will have a blank screen for software not match the hardware this is important to know your Rev of MB b4 any flashing note some MB makers have app for updating hardware is best way now for older MB need to do DOS

Ooops this PC a brand name unit or home built Merlin is correct on Sata cables Note: do only when PC is shut down first the whole OS on the 128 SSD? any other drives on PC home built..... would've start by partition 1TB drive with 35GB for windows install with current OS and what ever other size of space wanted. EG steam drive, game drive, backup ETC once configured sizing of 1Tb get all current drivers for your hardware put it on a USB stick for install if was a brand name unit clone the 128 then partition 1Tb
