Please read...particularly you pinglo: XI is an adult clan with no prohibitions on use of language except for two primary rules: no racist remarks, and no personal attacks. Xtreme Idiots Minecraft (SMP) Server Rules and General Information Official server Rules: 1. Malicious griefing will not be tolerated on the Minecraft server. Griefing will result in removal from the server whitelist and/or permanent ban from the Minecraft server. 2. No racism 3. No personal attacks 4. No hacking Griefing includes: -stealing items that are not yours (borrowing is one thing but stealing is another) this includes taking from chests that are not yours (unless they are labeled “free stuff” or something) this also includes taking blocks or items that have been clearly placed somewhere by another player -intentionally destroying or altering creations that are not yours (with fire, tnt, lava, or block by block) Not Rules but Etiquette: 1. Obviously there will be times when accidental damage may occur (ie from creepers). If you cannot repair it in the server, it would be highly encouraged that you make note of the damage in the server with a sign, send mail to the person whose stuff was damaged, or make a post here in the forums. Mail can be sent with the following command in server: /mail [send] [player name] [message] 2. Please don’t “scar” the landscape. This one typically refers to cutting down parts of trees or not re-planting them in forests when no building is being done in the area. If you intend to build something in an area, then by all means chop them down or burn them or whatever. But please leave forests or re-plant them if you harvest but have no intention of building anything there. Also, avoid leaving random dirt huts, dirt bridges and other temporary structures. We all do this from time to time, especially when we are starting out with nothing, but at least try to clean up before you leave an area. We will reserve the right to remove unsightly structures like this if they seem abandoned...and really ugly. Especially dirt bridges in skylands…build nice bridges. 3. Killing or stealing other people’s animals for food is not appropriate, even if you re-breed them. If animals are fenced in please leave them alone. If they are in the open, they are fair game. There are plenty of places to buy food cheaply if you are away from home and hungry. This is one of the main reasons we have the chest shop available to all players. 4. X-ray texture packs are not encouraged and if abused can result in removal from the server. Although there are certain instances where their use is acceptable (example would be underground tunneling near someone else’s structure), everyday use for mining and especially finding secret passages in other’s creations is certainly not acceptable. Normal texture packs are encouraged. Currently you must be promoted to obtain building rights to the server. If you have read and agree to the Rules, please make a post in this thread with your in game name and we will add you to the list shortly (it may take only a few hours or even a day or two so please be patient). Part of the reason for not building in mirrored caverns is because it is overly rich in minerals, and I can assure you we are not running low in waterworld, or scranton, or thenewworld, or vestigo. Plus we have 2 other custom worlds in eldaria and skylands (if we can get it fixed due to the corrupted chunks). Although it is tempting, it is not beneficial to the server to have resources that are that easy to obtain. Not only does it ruin the iconomy system, it also undermines the mining part of the game (which is what the name is named for after all). Also, the markets are already flooded with ores, but cobblestone, stone, and logs are extremely scarce. One reason we moved the spawn was because waterworld spawn had become too congested and there was no more room for expansion at a later date. The portal plugin is complicated as is and having to figure out how to work with all those portals randomly placed is extremely tedious. Mirrored caverns spawn simplifies this tremendously. In the future we will charge 2000 dollars (to the server) for all portals being added to any land/house/market/etc. These portals will all go to the mirrored caverns spawn area. Everything in mirrored caverns was done with creative mode for the purpose of having a dedicated spawn and portal area for the server. All other worlds branch equally from there, rather than having waterworld being the main world. There are several reasons for this, but one of them is that jungles will not appear in waterworld, thenewworld, or scranton. Only vestigo will have jungles. This clarifies that all worlds on the server are of equal status at this time. If we do any more building within the mirrored caverns area, it absolutely must be consistent with the style put forth at the spawn area (ancient underground temple with a slight aztec resemblance). I would be ok with building there as long as the style is kept consistent. HOWEVER, steel spent hours (actually probably enough hours to become days) working on these worlds and fixing the spawn and getting the server shifted over and stable for 1.2.4. So it will be up to him and him alone as to what he wants to do with mirrored caverns. Without his hard work we would all still be playing in scranton and we would have no other worlds! Please keep this in mind before complaining about what is going on with the server.
