  1. Well i guess we can't edit posts....meh So I guess I have no choice but to double post! :0 Anyway I have implemented command iconomy on the server. This means you will be charged for using certain commands. Here is the current setup (I may add more and adjust the pricing some, if anything I may increase the prices to keep server inflation down). tp: 75 sethome: 10 home: 100 spawn: 50 back: 100 Note: Admins have to pay for this too so don't ask us to tp you it will charge us!

  6. ya there is no way for the server to stream the music, it would cause massive lag and insta crash lol.
  7. Sigh, I sense a little tension between you guys, and I hope you can resolve this type of stuff without me getting too involved. Because I don't particularly care to ban people from the server unless it is genuine maliciousness or complete disregard for others' property. I don't get the feeling that bigjon has intended on either of these, but I can never know for sure. We have allowed certain griefing to go on in certain cases because of a back and forth jabbing between players. Outright stealing is absolutely not acceptable, but I don't think cutting down trees falls into that category. Making holes in walls is not acceptable and he does need to fix it but please allow some time for him to do so. I intend to ammend the server rules and have a server guide worked up soon to aleviate some of these issues.
  8. Unfortunately the next bukkit will most likely break some plugins...so it may take a few days after they release before we can update. Be patient my friends. In the meantime at least we have skylands to explore as if that was an update on its own thanks to steel.

  10. Really no restrictions as to where to build except not to build close to others unless they say its ok. I do have the following restrictions in Cygonia: must be medieval style house, must be in designated plot (by sign), and has to pay me amount designated on sign (although I could really care less about the money I just want the house to be built to match the city). Unfortunately most people don't use signs to claim their houses or land so we sometimes don't know who has what. So for that matter, I wouldn't worry about it too much if they haven't claimed it. Waterworld is mostly...well... water unless you travel a long ways, so I would recommend going to thenewworld if she doesnt want to travel alot to find a nice place that isn't too crowded. It is fairly easy to find a spot in scranton as well, but definitely more crowded. The main rule is no griefing: do not mess with other people's stuff. No taking from chests (unless it is a treasure hunt chest ), no breaking or changing other people's creations, don't set a house on fire, etc. Accidents will happen and that is not a problem. If a creeper blows something up, try to fix it if possible. I will add that while it is not a rule, we do like to leave the landscape somewhat un-altered unless it is used for building. So if you need to cut a bunch of trees down, but you are building elsewhere, please replant some trees so we don't have a barren world. People don't really follow that very often, but I think it is nice to keep some trees around. Again that isn't really a rule but more of an etiquette.
  11. Yep we are working on good anti-griefing measures and a few other additions before going public...still got some kinks to work out but I would love to see it happen before summer. Glad to see you joining us now...enjoyed playing with ya back on dread's server.

  13. Hmmm strange it was working fine for me last night...will have to check the permissions. Edit: Wasn't working for me either until I reloaded the server...now working fine for me. I got drops and moneys for killing stuff. Not sure about the chest shop creation issue I have had no trouble...are you sure you are creating it exactly as shown in the tutorial? Because if you miss any spaces or spell the item name wrong it will not work.
  14. We now have a simplified economy system that allows players to sell or buy items for money. You can check your balance by typing /money in the chat; or type /money help to get other commands. You should be able to give money to others if you wish to buy or sell items in person. Everyone should start with 200 dollars (let me know if you don't start with that for some reason). The other method of buying/selling items is through a "chest shop". You will know a "shop" because there will be a chest with a sign over it which indicates the Owner on the top line, the number of items to buy/sell on the second line, the Cost to Buy:Cost to Sell on the third line, and the item name on the fourth line. You can right click the SIGN to buy the item/s, or left click it to sell them. The money will be automatically added/taken from your account or the shop owner's and the items taken/added from the chest. You can also set up your own shops by setting a chest (I recommend adding a private sign) and placing a sign over it. Then enter in the information as shown in the following tutorial: http://www.southerncrossgaming.org/boards/index.php?topic=268.0 As of now it will cost you 5 dollars to set up a shop. I have set up a few shops in the Cygonia market if you wanna give it a try, and you are welcome to open your own shops up there if you like. I may also set up some admin shops which allow you to sell items to server to make money more quickly, but that might be a few days. I am working on allowing players to get money for killing mobs and in pvp. I may add more to this economy system if there is enough interest.

We do have seasons mod but it cycles through much faster than what would cause the icing...furthermore, I think we've solved the issue as it is just a snow biome that wasn't snowy/icy before 1.0 release because there was no snow. So now it is icing over but seems to be stopping at the edge of the biome...but we shall see

  18. Not that all of it matters anyway, the bilderbergs are running the show behind the scenes anyway. Their nwo will continue on as planned...slowly but steadily as it has for the past 100 years or so (or really way before that but that is harder to track). When will people realize that we have 2 choices that are only 90 degrees from each other, not 180 degrees. The result is we are heading in the same direction by going back and forth in a zig zag pattern.
  19. I didn't realize we had a problem populating the servers we have now...every time I join there is at least 2 or more in the queue (sometimes 6 to . So for me the problem is more of not having a place to play unless I go to another server lol.
  20. I am definitely in favor of another smaller server, 16 to 24 slots would be nice. Unfortunately the 64 slot lags my rig so much it is barely playable on some larger maps, plus it gets too crowded on the smaller maps. I like the 32 man but I could do without the hardcore myself. I like the idea of having no vehicles or at least primarily no vehicles (perhaps having a couple mixed in the rotation here in there would be ok). I would be in favor of a squad DM or a mix of rush and squad DM... or whatever really (not sure conquest on larger maps would be very fun with that number of players but perhaps on a small map like metro it might be fun). I do prefer maps that are better suited for the number of players in the server, as I have already expressed my desire of having operation metro removed from the 64 man...but I guess most are not in favor of this. However, if the playable area is indeed restricted to smaller areas of the map I would be in favor of all maps being added. I would have more input after having played all the maps with that number of people.
  21. Could be an issue with resolution and full screen/window mode. I know I had that problem in Crysis alot but haven't had it in BF3.
  22. High ticket count eh...isn't the ticket count around 500 on a couple maps for the 64?
  23. IMO 32 man hardcore makes more sense to be infantry only...or at least smaller maps with less vehicles. Maybe we need another small server for squad death match and squad rush and infantry only stuff :0
