  1. A jacket is just that, nothing more. It isn't an armored shield, or a guarantee against pain. My 368 has seen a lot of chill, & endless rain, and it survived & still can be worn to the tavern as a dress rag. I wanted a Highwayman when I was younger, & still do, so I bought one. Is it a better road jacket? No, it serves the same purpose, and really isn't any better than my old Scooter coat. Paired w/my set of leather pants, I'm willing to ride for a thousand+ miles & hopefully enjoy the journey. Pride of ownership goes a long way. My post was simply to endorse a company that doesn't suck ass to Hollywood, and provide a quality product that real people can enjoy. That being said, cool goes a long way to deciding on letting loose of money. Marlon, wih his 618 Arnold, with his modified Bates Highwayman. and Michael Keaton. Don't know what he wore, but it looked sharp in Jackie Brown.
  2. Your name is right there among the "likes". We truly are a clan of idiots.
  3. Looked @ the Schott Perfecto, the Bates Higwayman, & the Foxcreek standard, but elected to go with the folks that have kept me safe for three decades. Saddle bags loaded, & backpack strapped to the sissy bar. Bexar County, Texas bound.
  4. Been wearing an American made leather jacket for the last 30ys. Wanted to buy a new jacket, in the Marlon Brando style, like the Bates Highwayman. US1leathers.com is still in business (moved a couple miles down the road). Just received their steerhide 370, and couldn't be happier. 368 on the left, brand new 370 steerhide on the right. Central pix is new 370 after mink oiling.
  5. sorry TBB, several broken links that won't show me your meme's
  6. Not a meme, but a screenshot. Still brought a smile to my face. Good riddance.
  7. Day trading is simply gambling. Unless you've watched a stock for some time, and have a little insight as to what the company is doing, you're just tossing darts. Nothing takes the place of time & quarterly dividends, along with capital gains payouts.
