Connection speed is very important yes because server needs to have a perfect communication between you and the hosting server to send and resieve data such as your position on the map, the latency comes in play which means how much time it takes to shoot a gun in game after you hit your action button on your mouse. its calculated in miliseconds so fas connection definately helps alot ... and lowering the craphics also help because less data you need to download the faster your game runs.

i wont even add which card to get coz it will make ur budget explode .. but anyway .. Sapphire Ati radeon 4870 X2 2 GB ram. its one card with two GPU's on it. Still a TOP ati card out there. aroun 500 bucks where i live.

i see no such message anywhere .. okay guys as for right now im pretty sure you guys have some serious program interference issues. turn off all your anti virus programs and everything else you dont need and try the damn game again. im runinin out of thoughts here what might be causing all them things for you lads but i aint gettin any of this on my end

i've had two Errors since release and that was about 3 days ago when i hit Alt+tab to minimize the game and that error appeard because of a memory loss, so nithing very serious . it is really hard for us admins to try and help since we dont know what you guys might be doin wrong and if not then how/when and why these errors come up ... what i suggest is, get all your drivers thru updates and see if that helps.

it should be within the steam servers .. i think u can access them thru theater in game if u go to shared files

i personally hate FFA, and i prefare TDM or DOM, but that's just me .. im sure if we get a good feeback with the unranked servers we might actually get more servers to run as unranked .. we'll see what the future holds its all up to rugg man..

oh sweet .. good to hear you got it figured out so far .. i really thought it might be your memory becase win 7 has that thing going on which will open up more memory for a program that is currently active and when u toggle between rcon and Bo then there might be a memory loss. but very good you took the time to figure the issue out before they realse the patch and that fix might be included.

i suggest Wordpad becase within notebad it will put all the code lines in a loooooong row .. if u use wordpad it will open them up as a List

greywolf2 Scrolling is allowed and has been my mistake on that one then mate .. i remember members saying that we do not allow that so i think i got stuck on that story.

scrollwheeling can have two sides .. one is a hardware side as a mouse ... u can buy a mouse that has the option to asign keys to double tab with one click .. and if u asignt both left and right key to do so then there you go .. other side is asigining your in game attack key to your scroll wheel which if im correct we banned from the game as in we do not allow that. so if someone keeps doin that make sure admins know.

as soon as the mod tool is ready we will make sure the teamkill will be OFF. i know what u mean and it is very annoying since u will get kicked after 4 kills and temp banned for 5 minutes which is gay.

We will be more then happy to help you get in. We are now watching the servers for unknown soldiers and will kick them accordingly. what he said !

DEEJAYKEG evool you guys need to realize one thing .. game just got released .. of course theres bug .. every other Cod series game went thru tons of patches beffore you could complete enjoy the game ... issues for some ppl, smooth game runing for others .. as far as im concerned they are fixing the dman thing as we speak. i for exsample had NO issues with the game ... it runs smooth .. the only thing i get is server side lag .. thats it. so i am not sure what are you guys doing with steam or your game but theres nothing wrong with it. like i said wait for the patches beffore you lose the hype .. its a great game just has some issues for some ppl that needs to ne fixed. now about steam .. its the most awesome thing ever well after xfire of course .. automated game updates, easy community options and thse are just two easy to use options in steam .. its great when u get used to it ... i've been using it since it game out with Counter Strike i believe, well i got it then anyway ... its very simple and looks good too. Oh yeah, Steam is just great... If you have another program supported by it on the same machine as CoD BO, it tries to update that whilst you are in game and crashes friggin' Black Ops! It is and always has been a heap of crap IMHO. see you just helped us clarify one problem that we were discussin earlier in vent .. programs interference with eachother. that can cause "fatal errors" and "game crashes" and major lag in the game.

Sonovabich Yes Evool but steam was'nt fucking things up in the other call of duty games it will improve but not enough to put it alongside cod 2 cod 4 and even cod 5 let me try and put it this way ... every other Call of Duty games had bugs, ppl couldnt run them and were mad and angry saying Activision sucks ! but when they realsed patch after patch things started getting better and better ... right now like tball said ists not about steam it the game ... let me tell you one other thing about codeing the game.. if you fix one bug in one code then the fixed code might be affecting other code lines in the game ... so they need to be very careful on what they do and keep adding patches so they can keep the codes working properly and fix the bugs. its along process and all we can do right now is jst sit and relax and this game will be a kick ass and CoD 4 killer for sure .. it is for me alreay.
