  1. Or perhaps they will work on making it better, like queueing up busy servers, adding personal and/or clan passwords to join private slots, giving the ability to turn off auto scan so it won't delay starting for 20 seconds every startup, perhaps a better filtering system for server searches, and a more friendly server search window. That's my wish list, I like the application but it's got some pretty big holes. Without the friends list the single best software out there before that for server searches was the All Seeing Eye. Coincidentally that was bought by AOL and since that it's been completly trashed. SIGH.
  2. Okay, you have to play this its fucking great. I'm a huge fan hopefully some others will get on this week. See you there!
  3. Muppets, meh. When I read that I thought you all were knockin on me!
  4. I was looking for a great article I read describing Treyarch and their coming of age with this one, and giving them a second chance yada yada. It inspired me to wait for the release. The video's of the game are all over XPlay this week on G4 just hit their site to see it. It's pretty badass. I'm willing to give it a shot because frankly, there isn't shit out there. At least Activision isn't going to charge for this one on a pay per play basis. http://www.buzzbox.com/news/2010-05-29/call-of-duty:ops/
  5. I know it's a ways out yet (November) but I didn't see any posts on this yet. And yes I know it's Treyarch that brought us lackluster rendition COD World at War or better known as COD 5, BUT they kind of got jammed into that log ride. Now they have some operating rights they didn't have before and some latitude to take over this thing, or at least steer it towards something resembling COD of old. Black Ops is going to have dedicated servers, sports a little nicer finish than MW2 and has vehicles (choppers). I don't know if the vehicles make it to the multiplayer version but I'm sure the option will be there. So what's everyones thoughts on this new game? Think you might give it a shot? For me it comes at a good time where MW1 is getting a little done, and BC2 just isn't a long term game like the COD series has been. Then of course there is MOHAA 2 or WeverTF they are calling it these days. Which I cut my teeth on in WWII genre games and probably was one of the funnest games I've ever played, even COD2. Anyway, just trying to get a feel from everyone else what they think the new games are going to do and if you plan on making a change or at least purchasing. I'm totally in with anything that has dedicated servers - mostly because non-dedicated or "group" joining games like L4D & 2, MW2, and others have destroyed the community feel. Everyone acts likea complete ASS and it's creating a monster, an anti-social monster that I think will end up hurting the online community. But I guess that could be blamed on consoles - but you would think that even then you could create a console server where the same people were around and people by and large don't act like assholes and get to know one another. That's a whole nother topic though- so Black Ops?
  6. hey add me please, I never see anyone in the XI servers and have been playing the hell out of this game for about a month now. Would love to join up with a few people if they play ever, I know it's a low turnout now. add meatpuppet... (that's 3 dots). I do wear an XI tag all by my lonesome most of the time. ghost said that he plays (I don't believe it!). So send me an invite and let's get bored of this so I can go back to freezetag already!
  7. I'm starting Saturday in Shiner, Sunday in Luchenbach, sorry I can't make it! Go Rangers! Drink one for me.
  8. I work for a Xerox company, but I sell the software side for the paperless office. I'm screwed because I love it and it's so damn geeky. Pigdog - if you still work for that EMR company I want to talk to you.
  9. Does anyone watch Red vs. Blue? No particular reason, I just enjoy it and it is gaming related, even if it is Halo.
  10. Where are you moving to? I've lived all over here, hopefully I can direct you to some good places to eat or some trouble to get into.
  11. At Astros game with some pitcher or something... From Desktop Halloween... From Desktop With the Wifey... From Desktop Not a member either but thought I'd chime in. Sorry I didn't take my shirt off for any of the pics!
  12. Hey Pig I didn't intend on one-upping your avatar i swear!
  13. We also get different jellies/jams that are already spicy - mix it up and try Raspberry Habenero, just pour it on top of the cream cheese and set it next to the crackers. Save all that chopping and blending!
  14. I'm still curious how the franchise is going to go from here. Obviously the MW2 series did well, hopefully this disaster doesn't expand to other PC gaming companies if they see a profit from going to peer based server hosting. At this point, unless I see some dramatic improvement over peer based hosting model used now I hope the whole Modern Warfare series fails miserably. Hopefully these ex-Infinity Ward guys come back as War Infumus or some other knock-off name and get back to roots with a decent release in a couple of years. That would be a decent result from this debacle.
  15. Not sure how I found this, but it cracked me up. If jacking MW2 into the next generation of low attention spans, lack of personal accountability on a server, and general douchebaggery wasn't enough Activision has announced it's intentions of turning the franchise into a mega-lopolous of wacky new ideas. Vietnam, the Cold War (was there any real fighting going on?), ultimately a new MMORPG based on the COD series. Good stuff! I bet EA is ROFL. http://www.gamespot.com/news/6252689.html
