Out of the 4 maps that were taken out of the rotation, only 2 can be called big maps..Apesgorod ( never a popular ftag map) and Eerier, Mogadishu might feel like a big map because of all the buildings and tunnels but the actual area of the map was only a medium size, we tried to put a big map back in ie Sharqi which have some issues with yesterday so unfortunately it was removed. I have played freeze tag a long time like many players here and i think the most popular maps are the medium sized maps on the whole (obviously there will be exceptions) i do sympathize with you to a point about the big maps, there are some good big maps out there (and i think we should vary the rotation) but most are more suited to sniping which i don't think is well suited for ftag because snipers usually are a bit selfish sitting back in their spawn and getting their kill counts up and are not for the most part great defrosters (as you said it's a team game and defrosting is just as big a part as killing) Also you mentioned about being froze for long periods, well i think that is the fastest way to empty a server ie people being stuck for ages in one spot waiting for a defrost and unfortunately this happens on big maps, i would rather see a moderate map with a full server then a great map with only 4 people in, we have a map called Karkand which is a huge map and very good in my opinion, i'm sure Greywolf will dig it out for us shortly and put it in the rotation but i can guarantee you with in minutes of it being on you will be deafened by the whines of the people who don't like big maps, so as you can see we are between a rock and a hard place when it comes to map selection, we will never please everyone but as in life the majority seems to rule, so we have to cater for them.
