Shark

My hard drive crashed a few weeks ago and I had to do a complete wipe and OS reinstall. Ever since, my CD drives will read anything except my game cds? I was ablt to reinstall BF3 since its downloadable but if I put my Crysis Warhead or Wars cds in the drive never activates therefore I can never start the install process. I have reinstalled the drivers, tried other disks like photos, movies etc and they all work fine, just no game cds? If anyone has any ideas or can think of anything to try I'd greatly appreciate it! See you on the servers. Shark that is the problem(mine, well that's my martini afternoon and I am zonked)In Europe it is 5hrs. difference.Makes it pretty late for those guys. I always forget about that, especially on Fridays when the alcohol makes time all blend together. Well hell then! Lets start a Euro session at 3pm eastern time! I'm usually home between 3 and 4 so I'd jump in with them and if they happen to stay up late they can kill WiZiD too when we start the 8 session! Who could ask for more in one night of gaming?! Play some Crysis with good friends AND make it rain on WiZiD! According to Banpire he especially likes when you bust caps in his ass but I don't know if its true or not. Banpire says weird things when he's smokin.

Hey Tater! It's been good playing on the BF3 servers with you. Glad to hear you'll be joining us in CW now too! I'm on a little bit almost every day between 3pm and 8pm eastern but Friday nights at 8pm eastern all the CW Idiots try to get together in the hardcore server for some shenanigans. I've discovered that if I turn off my firewall and inteliguard components I can connect, but now I am back to that damn punkbuster error. PB is up to date according to evenbalance but I still get the error every time I try joining. Anyone found a solution to this yet?

Heffalump When you are next on, try and get hold of Comfort or Cavey amongst others, they have been helping a few guys out who have been having problems getting into servers, if you see them in TS it would be best. Do you get a message about origin not connecting? Ok, I'll try them. Thanks! I never get any messages about Origin. Everything works fine except joining a server.

For the past 2 days everytime I attempt to join any BF3 server I get an error that simply states "could not join server(1)" with no further explination or clue as to why. I've updated PB, run scans for malware, turned off my firewall etc etc. I've tried everything I can think of to no avail and haven't been able to find anything usefull on any forums anywhere. Anyone else run into this? Any idead on how to fix it? Thanks!

I got it installed and registered but someone has already taken Shark_XI for a name. Really? WTF! LOL So I can't go by that in BF3, loveing this Origin crap already. I tried every variation of it I could to no avail. So senior admins/BF3 admins - what would you suggest? Just a new name? Kinda sucks but I guess there's no choice as far as I can tell. Thanks! Thanks everyone for the help! I ran a registry clean and after that everything worked like a charm. Only problem now is someone's already registered Shark_XI LOL Can't win for loosing! See you in game soon!

So I decided to give BF3 a try today. I have Vista 32-bit and checked the back of the box, says it supports vista 32-bit but when I run the autorun I get an error that says Autorun.exe is not a valid Win32 file. Any idea what the hell this means, and did I just wast $70 on a game I cannot play even though the back of the box says I can? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!

Just as a clarification, its not just me that experiences it. Arcarnage and banpire were both on with me today and got the same thing at the same time so it has to be a server or network issue I guess?

Anyone know why the HC servfer ping jumps wicked high at random now? I typically have a ping of 20-30 but at random times today and the last few days it jumpd to over 600. I took a screen shot in Xfire to post but can't figure out how to put it in here? Nothing happens when I click insert/edit image? Anyway, just wanted to make sure someone was aware of the issue and see if its something we can do anything about? Thanks!
