We all spend time in the kitchen. And sometimes it is easy to just put something in the crock pot and get back to your game while it slow cooks for 4 to 6 hours in time for dinner. Today, I have a deer roast in the crock pot. I still have a lot of deer meat from my December '12 hunt. One of my favorite recipe sites is;  http://www.cookinglouisiana.com/Cooking/Recipes/all-recipes.htm and these boys down South in Louisiana know good cooking.

The recipe I am using is this one for deer roast; http://www.cookinglouisiana.com/Cooking/Recipes/Meat/Deer-Roast.htm

After it thaws and I marinate it for a day, it is ready to blacken in the iron skillet and then to the crock pot. I make the gravy after and just wait.

I thought we could share some ideas... So, let me know what y'all think?
